Not as clean as I would hope. Pubic hair on bathroom floor behind the door, fridge smelly.

Comfortable, air con was a big plus, good wifi, good location. The soap was a really nice touch too!

Even though it was a studio apartment, the only seating was either outside on a slightly scary balcony or on high bar stools so not a great option for short folks or those who are a little older. The bedroom was very cramped with nowhere for suitcases. There were things we didn't expect such as an ironing board and iron but no hairdryer and curiously no teaspoons although there was tea and coffee available. There were no bedside lamps and the only light was connected to the fan. Because of the main road outside we had to close the door but this meant we needed the air conditioning on all night. The outside just looks run down. There is only an external staircase up to our room - the railings had paint peeling off and the metal looked rusty, some steps felt a little wobbly. The exterior could really do with some paint and maintenance. In comparison our daughter stayed in another part of Ballina for about the same price but a much nicer room with more space and a sofa.

The location was across the road from a pub which can be noisy (we know from previous stays in the area) but it was quiet during our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a reasonable size. The room was obviously clean as were the linens.

It was high and steps a wee bit tricky for my age(80) but managed. Towel rail was broken and should have been repaired as a conceptual thing. Disn`t effect me really - just didn`t look good

The pin code provided to the key box was incorrect. Owner did not reply to my call or texts. I was not told which apartment was mine. Very poor service.

Good location, very nice views, very reasonable price. The property is a bit tired, but for a low-key stay in the Byron area it was good.

Our preferred booked Penthouse apartment was swapped for a smaller two bedroom one due to issues in the one originally booked. No onsite management and reception not manned. Some issues (including minor cleaning) we had were satisfied after a chat with Kate via 'phone. No airconditioning in two bedrooms.

Beachy older style apartments in a quiet location (Shaws Bay) with views of the river (from back & front). Four unsecured undercover carparks and others shared on common land with neighbours. A short drive from the Ballina main shops. Convenient pub across the road. Apartment kitchen had full oven, microwave and fridge with freezer. Small balcony at back (facing west) and backyard had other facilities. Apartment has one airconditioner in sitting area plus ceiling fans in the two bedrooms.

Arrived after many hours of travel at 4.30. Reception closed. Mobile number to call. Rang the number 3 times. No one answered. Luckily a man in another apartment opened a security box and found 2 keys. Had to guess which key was ours. 30 mins later got a text from someone to apologise, she had sent our arrival details to the wrong mobile number. So lucky the man helped us. I presume the man who helped us contacted lady. Room was very small. Only the bed to sit on, uncomfortable stools. Noises next door from other room. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Balcony is not private so if next apartment is using theirs you can't avoid each other. Other than large modern fridge, kitchen equipment was very basic and minimal quantity of plates, cups etc. Iron needs replacing, kept leaking water. A new drying rack with more pegs would be welcome.

Lovely view from balcony. Enjoyed eating breakfast there and watching sunset end of day. Spacious, clean apartment with comfortable beds, nice linen, big TV and air con worked well. Water pressure was ok and as expected in an older apartment block. Plenty of cupboard space and wardrobes. Provision of teabags, coffee, sugar etc was nice. Coin laundry facility available which is a consideration if you're a family staying for a week.

No contact with staff there was no one. Left a message because things were missing and we needed an iron to prepare for a wedding but no one responded. Cutlery incomplete.

It did get a little stuffy in the bedrooms. Though the ac was a huge plus. We simply slept with all the bedroom doors open.

Great location, close to eateries, parks and swimming spots. It is also a quick journey north to Lennox and a short drive back into down town Ballina. The apartment itself is vintage in its era. Sweet space, perfect for a small family or two couples.

we got no toilet paper, no coffee, tea . the wifi wasn’t working at all. it was a bit grubby. the hair from the people before was still in the corner of the toilet and bathroom. the flyscreens at the entry doors were filthy and so were many things we had to touch. it is very dated. I can handle old places, but I can’t handle dirty places. also the kitchen cupboards smelled very mouldy.

it is situated in a beautiful area and elevated to see the water from both sides of the property. the bed was comfortable, there was clean linen and towels. the place was freshly painted
