Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The master bed was ok. It was not the worst or anything - I could still sleep on it - but I think it might be almost the time to replace it.
It was wonderful that we got switched to an apartment with the ocean view. The staff was very friendly and gave us all the necessary information. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the apartment had a huge balcony. Loved the heated pool too! Unfortunately, the spa pump was out of order for most of our stay. We were able to use it once though and it was relaxing :)

We requested that the two rooms be close, however this was not possible and needed to be accessed by two separate lifts which made it hard for access by other family members.
Comfortable cleanrooms with a large living space and balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location within walking distance to Kings beach.

Satisfied with pretty much everything.
It was a Fantastic little get away, My Mum, My Daughter and I àll had a great time and the service was amazing. My 4year old loved the Pool, the hot tub and the large verandah to play on. I Highly recommend Mariners as a place to stay. 😊😊

It was very open and spacious and to have any privacy at night or to get changed etc meant closing a LOT of blinds and then re-opening them in the morning. Very minor issue and with the blinds open during the day, the apartment felt so light and airy. I did find it difficult to set up the Wi-fi or even my mobile data to use on the TV to watch on-demand TV but maybe that was a cue to get away from screens whilst at the beach!
The on-site managers of the property could not be more helpful or lovely to deal with. On check-in, they explained everything and were very inviting. They went above and beyond by helping to move my car and help my sister with her 1 year old while she was dealing with her 2 year old in the carpark on check-in. The apartments were amazing and clean and spacious and had everything required for a comfortable stay. The location was wonderful for visiting the Caloundra Music Festival and within walking distance. The view from my apartment to the ocean was uplifting. The pool and spa were used a few times and were very nice too!

The wifi was terrible and the airconditioner in the living room wasn't working (which we were advised of upon arrival). Not ideal and perhaps a portable fan would have been helpful. The gym is quite small

The bed was small & extremely uncomfortable. Possibly broken. If we wanted to use any of the refreshments ie: coffee sachets, milk, we had to restock. There was no useable plugs for the either bath tub
The directions to access building & parking was very detailed. The view was lovely

Leaking toilet shower head broken booking was for 6 adults for 2 nights 2 rolls of toilet paper supplied

The three bedroom apartment we stayed in smelt bad, it was not very clean, the laundry doors were coming off the hinges and it was quite poky with outdated furnishings and appliances.

The bed, the pillows were so hard , the blinds tapping against the door all night as we had the fan on, ended up putting spare pillows to stop the tapping, lounge was uncomfortable, the doors and windows kept shaking all day/ night from the wind….

Wouldn't have booked if I had known both showers were over the bath. The wind noise on several days was excessive, depending on wind direction making it hard to sleep. The unit was dated and had the bare minimum. The wifi was unprotected and hard to connect to especially at night.
The location was handy and good. The staff were great. The apartment was spacious.
