Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The heater in one of the rooms was so loud we had to turn it off and there was a wet Sock left in the shower. The other room was perfectly fine. There is a decent size step up to the rooms, not very mobility friendly. Big signs say no smoking near the rooms or their doors, but there are ashtrays out the front of the rooms?
Booked 2 rooms and they were right next to each other. The check in process was seamless too as the key was left in the door for our late arrival. The rooms were a great size and had a couch.

Renovations on site but no hardship, pity restaurant/cafe on site not utilised but on the whole good value for money paid

The kitchen was rather old and grungy, especially inside the cupboards. After dark, we found it a bit awkward finding the way in, and the way out.
Room was quite spacious for the price range. We had use of a kitchen and all the crockery and cutlery was supplied in our room. As we were passing through the location the highway into town was convenient.

The doorstep was rather high, built in a time before step height standards became a thing. The motel is also along the highway which has a lot of truck traffic, however this traffic did not occur all night long so a restful sleep was still had.
Value for money motel room. Basic accommodation with rather dated bathrooms but perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay.

Maybe the big step outside the room, it's perhaps a bit difficult for some people to navigate.
Comfortable bed, clean and tidy room, good facilities in room, awesome shower, very helpful and friendly service. It is an older motel, so obviously older styled room, but still very quaint.

I did not like that it was so close to the main highway and trains. There was a gap in the door. It was quite cool, so I needed to put an extra blanket on the bed. The room and bathroom were a bit small and needed some repairs and renovations. Walls were thin; I could hear conversations next door.
The bed was comfortable, and the shower was good.

The older guy is rather grumpy on the phone. We were going to be there after hours. I called to discuss it. This seemed to irritate him. Part and parcel of dealing with the public. We ask questions even if they are obvious to you. . Be nice or don't run a hotel. The younger guy was lovely to deal with though. The place was perfect otherwise

It was a bit noisy from road and train line but otherwise no other problems.
It had everything we needed, except for maybe couple sets of draws to put clothes in. The kitchen area had everything we wanted as did the bathroom. It’s an older motel which obviously needs updating but it had that clean smell when you walked in and owner and staff were very accommodating.

This Motel is fairly old but nice big room and very big bathroom, it was clean and had everythin we needed, we enjoyed our stay and definitely felt it was worth what we played.

Just so easy to deal with. Ideal location. Plenty of space. Always clean and neat. I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Swan Hill, which is often.
