Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaLoved the country location, quiet and restful. Close to town and zoo. Our host made us feel welcome and the accomodation was clean and comfortable and the styling took us back to another era. Thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and best wishes for a successful show.

AustraliaThere are no kitchen facilities, and only a small fridge. Our host was able to freeze our ice packs overnight, which helped. The farm is located outside of Dubbo, so you do need to drive into town for supplies.
Lovely room, with access to a lounge room and outdoor verandah. We bought takeaway dinner in Dubbo, and sat on the balcony to eat it, amused by the friendly geese, chickens and cat. The breakfast was supplied in your room, with fresh ingredients. It’s a little tight for room, but again, we ate out on the balcony. A very pleasant peaceful stay.

AustraliaThere is nowhere to prepare any food (very cramped space). There were croissants, etc provided - but nothing to cook them in (too big for the toaster). It was extremely hot & quite stuffy (the owners did put the air conditioner on for a while, but not at night).
It was clean & a lovely historic property.

AustraliaThe directions given were spot on, though at 110 km/h the driveway is non-descript (especially if arriving after dark).
A peaceful location to relax and read and/or use as a base to discover the region. As a rural location you'll be surrounded by the fauna (that calls the yard home) waking past the porch, with cattle and kangaroos hanging about in neighbouring paddocks. Bring a book or pick one from the extensive bookcase that lines the wall of your living space. The fridge is well stocked with a variety of items for your continental breakfast, extra treats are available for a fair price should you realise you deserved that snack that you forgot to bring. Though not practical in late November, the open fireplace looked like an opportunity missed. Photos on site are true to experience.

AustraliaOnly little niggles, and I have chatted to Susan on a couple, maybe a microwave and /or Milk warmer for coffees Also they have a table outside for putting laptop and paperwork on (and coffees/breakfast of course) it’s just that late in the day and into the night maybe, something indoors bit nearer a power point and little further from the curious insects would be good... internet seemed to drop out a bit and theres not good or any mobile data so just doing a few emails to finsh the day did take a couple goes... but if you not business orientated. you would be crazy not to take advntage of the place and get off your devices even if just for a while..hahah And last and least… couple smaller breakfast bowls that can fit in fridge, to make my Bircher... I used the mugs ... but I did say little niggles ha-ha these are just the 1%ers to perfection.... for me
Very Beautifully appointed, cozy, and different to the run of the mill hotels, motels and the like I often end up with during my business travels. Probably a little wasted on the “average” business traveller as it’s really appointed and geared towards as a "couples get away” who can make better use of the facilities, like read from the awesome floore to ceiling library wall, relax in the huge comfy sofa, go for walks and just generally soak in the environment. That said this is the exactly the sort of place I like to stay at on my country travels, it’s a circuit breaker to a long day, i love a space that takes me away from my day traveling and talking, it gives me a sense of escaping the rat race. This did it perfectly As for the breakfast .... perfect, there was a good range of choices, for me i was able to do my usual Bircher Muslie with the supplied ingrediants so i was happy, good quality yogurt, pleanty of milk (uncommon these days) it was awesome. but also there was fresh fruits, bread, crumpets, jams, honey was all there for quick healthy starts to the day and way to much for me (if i stayed a couple days there was morning teas and afternoon teas there!!!) Recommended?? Absolutely!!! on my favourites list now!! should be on yours too

AustraliaMobile reception was a bit sketchy at times (but then this is Australia where telecommunication reliability is like spinning a wheel and throwing a dart).
My stay at Yarrabar Downs was excellent. The accommodation in this beautiful historic homestead was gorgeous and well appointed. The property was lovely to stroll around and is located close enough to Dubbo (and the zoo which I was visiting) to be an easy drive but far enough out to have that rural seclusion. After trying the tasty homemade jams with the complimentary breakfast provisions I bought a jar (and a jar of homemade honey) as gifts for my friends when I left. The hosts, Susan and Geoff were helpful and very friendly but unless I made contact I was afforded total privacy.

AustraliaWe had accommodation in the homestead. Ensuite bathroom (with lovely high quality soap etc), bedroom and lounge filled with shelves of interesting books. There was lovely fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, home made jams etc for breakfast too. As we arrived a flock of geese waddled across the lawn, birds singing, and if you get up early enough, quite a few wallabies in the fields beyond. This was a stop over between Broken Hill and Sydney for us and we didn't want to spend a night in a motel for our last night of a seven week excursion through Sa and parts of WA. Definitely the right choice.

I stayed in the home. On top of beautiful styling and good quality furniture and linen, it was all the small touches including pod machine, homemade jam, fully stocked, interesting minibar and being greeted with a lovely jazz mix playing.... The cottage on the dam looks amazing too.

AustraliaThe only negative if you can call it that is we are used to underfloor heating in the bathroom so it was a bit fresh in the morning! LoL
Lovely log fire on arrival. Nice & cosy. Comfy bed. Nicely furnished. A whole wall of books to read. Continental Breakfast was fresh and filling Nice table & chairs on veranda for a morning coffee and sunrise We would definitely come back for a longer stay next time. AustraliaThere was nothing not to like!
We like the fact that it was out of town and a distance from the main road. Quiet and peaceful. Staying in a portion of the 1865 Homestead gave out accommodation a character that my wife and I love! The open fire place in the library/lounge gave a warmth and coziness and a place to retreat to! Having breakfast added in was just the icing on the cake!
