Our room although small was relatively quiet while my son’s room seemed to be directly above the nightclub making sleeping for the 6 and 2 years old (and their parents) difficult. Maybe a family room on a higher level or further away from the noise would have been a better option.

Our room was very small but comfortable with an updated bathroom. My son’s family room was large with two separate sleeping areas, ideal for a family with kids.

We didn't like the glass panel that separated the room from the toilet. The door didn't always stay closed.

The room had no window view at all and the staff were courteous and helpful for the most part however our food orders were missed or confused which was disappointing

The hotel had a vintage quality about it and was beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk around. having a car park was valued as was the hotel’s proximity to where we wished to go.

We liked everything. However, we had a message a day or so before arrival telling us that the George Hotel was also a nightclub venue and that there might be noise at night. We replied and asked for a guaranteed quiet room. The reply from the hotel was that we would have to upgrade to guarantee a quiet room. We did not upgrade but decided to negotiate on arrival. The fact was that the room we had been allocated was very quiet as there seemed to be no noisy events on during our stay. We thought it off-putting to be told the hotel might be noisy the day before we arrived.

The suite was dark due to the curtains hanging over the windows - tiebacks would be useful. I understand why the windows couldn't be opened due to security, but some fresh air would have been appreciated. Even having a ceiling fan as an additional option to the air conditioner.

We luxuriated in olde-world charm. Central position. Having kitchen facilities made quick catering possible. The washing machine and dryer would be found useful for travellers.

car park entry could do with the potholes filling in, no suitcase rack for unpacking the suitcase so had to use the chairs, bed was a little uncomfortable sagged in the middle, alot of noise from doors downstairs banging until early hours of the morning

our second visit to this hotel, its still as we remembered it, rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Alittle on the dark side with it being an older property and small window. Good selection of teas and biscuits provided. Lots of lovely fresh fluffy towels too. We ate in the bistro at night and the food was lovely and had breakfast on the mornings and that was excellent too. Parking is a little awkward, we had to park on the street in front to unload cases and then received a leaflet of how to find the carpark to the rear when we checked in

These renovated apartments are spectacular! The location is wonderful, the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of options on premises for entertainment, and centrally located for city exploration.
