Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The room was cold at first because it was 4deg we couldn't have heater on because card had to in to work 😑, also we got back about midnight very cold also more blankets would be good 👍 😊 Thanks very much
Because we had a dance on at Huntley Hall and it's was not far away for accommodation, also we had dinner at the Huntley hotel 😋 before the dance booked at 5.30pm then we had time to get to RNR birthday dance 💃 26th Rockers 50s dance Great night out!

No Netflix or streaming service.
Wow......the room was beautiful and had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The location was quiet. I would highly recommend staying.

Slightly more expensive than the standard - however, you definitely pay for quality and I am keen to return. I was tossing between staying an extra night. Probably would have if it were slightly discounted based on my other stays.
I was staying for 2 nights as a performer for the Bendigo Easter Festival. I found that the facilities met all of my needs: - CLEAN - Fridge with water and basic essentials - Easy parking - Modern design - Close to a bakery, pub and shops - Working facilities - Air con, kettle Given that I was only staying for 2 nights, I was not expecting room service in between however, it happened and I think this is testament to how well maintained and clean this place is.

Location was a bit out of Bendigo, but was only 15 minutes at most times of the day. Nice shower and shower head, but not much water pressure. Noise through front door from other tenants in carpark. Rest of the room is great but door let's it down. No washing machine, which could have been handy. Very minor complaints and definitely would not discourage me from staying again!
Spacious room with excellent bathroom and kitchenette. Clean and well kept. Tea, Coffee and milk provided. Own parking spot. Easy self check in and check out. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We have stayed here a number of times and love the peace and quite and how well each room and the facility is presented. The rooms and bathroom is so spa ious, even though there is just 6 rooms all together being away from the main part of Bendigo this is what we like the most. Red Waratah is always our first choice to stay in Bendigo.

The airconditioning cannot be left on while you are out and it doesn’t work very well which means the room was incredibly hot and didn’t seem to cool down much throughout the night. Made the stay a little uncomfortable.
The property is beautiful. So well presented and spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable and the room is bright and spacious!

We have stayed at Red Waratah a number of times, the room are so spacious, clean and the bathroom is always spotless. Being out of Bendigo off the main road it is lovely and quiet with 6 rooms you get very little noise. Even though it was a warm day the rooms were very cool when we arrived and we didn’t need to use the Air Conditioning Unit.
