This little cottage was an oasis on our driving trip across Tasmania. The wall to wall windows put us in the heart of nature in the comfort of our own own bed. Nicky was friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. She gave us the info we needed to get the most of our stay. Loved the pandemelons and all of the amazing birds.

Beautifully designed house, very large and bright, with high ceilings. The location is great for relaxation, overlooking the extensive lawn and an easy stroll to the river bank. We walked in sunset along the river, and watched the bright moon and stars on our outdoor chairs.

Don't be put off by the B&B in the title it's a separate 2 room apartment with plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. The location was excellent, with a short walk across their lawn to a boardwalk around alongside the river. Plenty of animals and birds, including green rosellas! It's a really great find

Bit lacking in facilities

Beautiful little house nestled away in a very tranquil spot. Plenty of room with a massive back yard full of wallabies and bunnies. Very relaxing with access to a nice walking trail by the river. Our host was very helpful and friendly whilst happy to give us our privacy.

Absolutely nothing

Absolutely everything. The location and atmosphere is peaceful, private and mesmerising with the greenery and myriads of wildlife. Waking up to the beautiful song of so many birds and tiny wallabies and cute rabbits outside the bedroom felt like a piece paradise. The walk to the river is stunning with built up bridges by the owners for the comfort of the guests. The place itself has everything you need and the fine little touches makes it feel like you’re at home. Nicky is the most welcoming attentive host catering for every need. Amazing breakfast provisions for every dietary needs. The cottage is spotless and beautiful inside. Definitely the highlight of our Tasmania trip. Only wish we could stay there longer. Will definitely be back.

Not much to dislike. The bathroom was not close to the bedroom and the mattress was a little saggy but it was basically a great place to stay.

The apartment was spacious and well appointed. Our host was helpful and welcoming. The location abounded in wildlife.

The property is huge, the bedroom on its own is bigger than some the places we have recently stayed and the living area is just massive, the two are connected by an atrium which combined with large glassed areas gives a real feel of opulence, this is an ideal property to stay for an extended time, the kitchen is compact but workable, it features a toaster oven with hot plates, a George Foreman Grill and a microwave, lovely breakfast provisions provided. We liked the water heater temperature controller no worries about scalding yourself in the shower. A heat pump in the main room and wall heaters in the bedroom kept us warm an cozy, the bed was very comfortable. The property is close to all the wineries and eateries in the region, it also features a huge private backyard which leads down to the foreshore walk, lots of wallabies around and abundant bird life. In the evening you are far enough away from artificial light that the star scape on a clear night is breathtaking. Our host Nicky was just delightful, very friendly and full of information on the area. We would have no hesitation on recommending Riverwalk B&B and would gladly stay here again.

This was a great location in the Tamar Valley. A good base for us to travel from in a hire car. You could easily stay here longer but our two nights fitted in with our travel plans perfectly. We had great communication with the host and were met on arrival. Everything was set out well and certainly a relaxing place to stay. We would recommend this as a place to stay and would definitely consider using it again if we were back in the area.
