They provide a door hanger to put out if you don't want the room serviced which we used because we are environmentally conscious (you get a $10 discount or voucher or some such incentive to be more "environmentally friendly" if you use it - the discount was neither here nor there for us). I also thought this meant it wouldn't be necessary for them to come into the room so we left things around that I would normally put away. Housekeeping disregarded the sign and came in and serviced the room. Along with the towels the hotel provided, they took my personal hair towel wrap (that a friend had made me as a gift). We were only staying two nights, so there was really had no need for the bed to be remade and the towels to be refreshed. The hair towel was personalised with an embroidery of a blue rose, so it clearly was not one of their items. They said they would try to get the laundry to find it and we did get a slightly bigger than $10 discount off our dinner bill, but I would really have just preferred to not have my hair towel wrap disappear. It was not found (I didn't think it would be) and I am really disappointed that it is gone :(

The Tank Stream Hotel is just down the road from my husband's work and therefore easy for him to reach. It saves him travelling 1.5hours home, by train, which of course is a treat for him not to have to do on a Friday afternoon after a busy working week, plus we can park at his work which is a bonus. We have stayed there before and, as previously experienced, the room was clean and comfortable. They had spare umbrellas available for guests which was handy, given the wet weather we experience over the weekend while we were there. Dinner at their restaurant was once again very good.

The location was quite central and close to the tourist attractions. In addition, the hotel was surrounded by food courts, making it easy to get a meal.

Rooms are small but perfect for a solo traveller or weekend away. No microwave in the room. I faced the atrium so no natural light but didn’t detract from my stay!

This is such a great location and staff were so friendly! Room was clean and well presented!

On Friday night we arrived it was huge and noisy crowd outside on the plaza downstairs having fun drinking etc. we couldn’t get sleep until late night because of it.

A little more space

Rooms are a bit small. We were in each other's way regularly! This means you have to sit on the bed as there is minimal room and only 1 chair...which only just fits in the space when pulled out! I would like an " opening" window, rooms get stuffy, or cold because of using the A/C all the time, which was difficult to get "just right!!!" Mattress needs upgrading as it's starting to sag when sat on.

The hotel is well appointed and tastefully decorated. Position was great. Short walk to Circular Quay and The Rocks. Breakfast included was fabulous at the "Le Petit Flot Restaurant" on level 2. Staff were VERY ATTENTIVE, polite, and ready to help with any requests. Rooms were very clean. Bathrooms are very clean also! Love the free movies they include on the TV Housekeeping is very good each day. Pillows are great!! Great quality tea and coffee in the room provided and restocked daily. Thoughtful staff who gave us 2 small bottles of wine as an extra for our anniversary!! Thank 6 appreciated that!

No issues, very minor issue- shower head kept sliding down, we notified maintenance but not fixed while we were there.

Great location for exploring Sydney. Large room and bathroom. Very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast . Highly recommended.

No bar area or lounge for relaxing. Hair dryer hidden in drawer in wardrobe. No body lotion.
