Having to pay the entire amount for the rental in cash was inconvenient. The closest beach is quite small and right beside a very busy road.

The hosts are very generous and friendly, even taking us to the grocery store to get the kitchen stocked for our visit. The apartment was spotless and has beautiful outdoor spaces. It is clearly very well cared for. The check-in and out went smoothly.

The only thing we can think of is perhaps more light in the main lounge which is very dark in the evenings and on rainy days, in daylight too. But as we used the lovely outside terrace most of the time, this wasn't really a problem. The pool is raised so a few steps to climb before accessing the water. A great cool off pool.

The owners of the house are Pat and John. They were exeptionally kind. We arrived in the dark and they were there to greet us, even taking us to the local supermarket in Holetown to shop for provisions, waiting in the car whilst we shopped. We then got a guided tour of the town. Two days later, on my birthday, they arrived bearing gifts of fruit and wine. Shortly after, Pat arrived with a fish breakfast. We would call them superhosts. If you want a touch of Bajan hospitality, living in a community of local residents as opposed to an anodine hotel room, you couldn't do much better than Anwin Apartments. Though somewhat dated (but that's part of its charm) the house is exceptionally well equipped, in a safe location a 5 minute walk from Paynes Beach. Our feeling is that your holiday will be enhanced if you have a car. Be warned of the roads though: they are strewn with potholes.

There was some construction noise from the adjacent property - one day when we had decided to spend the day chilling in the appartment it carried on all day - a saw or sander I'd guess. I would also assume this is temporary but it may be worth checking the state of play with Winston on booking. Have just re-read a review which mentions shower gel / shampoo - we'd agree but easy to buy in the supermarket or bring your own from home. The only other thing that we noted was very thin uncomfortable pillows - perfectly clean pillowcases but the pillows themselves were flat and not supportive. This is me being picky I have to say - there's really nothing not to like about the appartment

The 2 bedroom appartment is a little dated as others have observed. Everything worked fine, however so this is purely cosmetic. The welcome was wonderful - Winston talked us home on arrival when we got a little turned-around in our hire car. He spent an hour with us telling us about the Island and about what to see and where to go. The property has plenty of space - the patio is great and the pool very lovely to cool off in. There is a BBQ there for your use and we cooked out on a couple of evenings. The property is situated a bout 5 mins walk from Paynes Beach - downhill to get there; uphill coming home. The beach is pretty good although not huge - certainly great for a swim in the Carribean.

Should have brought earplugs for the night critters! Having shampoo/conditioner would have been helpful under the toiletries section.

The property provided privacy, with the impression you were in the country. The outdoor living space was lovely! Walking a 6 minute hill/road after a stay at the beach was fine for us.

The Annwin apartment suited my needs, down the ground! Lovely 2 bedroom place with sitting and dinning areas inside. But, it is the patio, courtyard and plunge pool that makes this place so special. Smashing to sit and read, sunbathe, relax. On top of that our host, John was incredibly helpful and kind.

Property is large and was so much more than we expected. It's a traditional property, so if you're after ultra-modern it won't be for you but there's everything you could need. A little off the main track but this made it very peaceful and is in a very safe location. Hosts, John & Pat, were fantastic and couldn't be more welcoming and helpful; even providing a flying fish breakfast one morning which was yummy! All in all this is a marvellous property to stay at with owners that couldn't be better.

The property was situated at the top of the road so there was a little walk from the main road to the property

Our second visit to Annwin, this 2 bedroom apartment offers home from home accommodation including a garden with a small pool in a quiet residential area close to /5 -10 minutes walk from Paynes Bay beach. The hosts John and Pat are simply amazing ! They cant do enough for you and are warm and super helpful. We cant thank them enough for their help and generosity when our flight was cancelled last minute this visit.

You really need a car here for the occasional shop or to reach Holetown which is more buzzy - our kind host did drive us up a couple of times. We ate out and there are some good places nearby which you can walk to. The beach is not great as it is next to a very busy road and has been eroded since our last visit. The walk up the hill to the apartment would not suit anyone who isn’t fairly fit.

Could have been more comfortable with air con in the longe area. Unfortunately there was building work going on next to the property which wasnt too bad until the last day due to heavy machinery, noise and fumes.

Spacious property. Some essentials were provided by the hosts. Friendly hosts. Provided information on the area. Loved the area. Great for morning walks along the beaches. Close to bus stops.

Family of 2 adults and 2 kids. We had a great time in the apartment during quarantine as it had more than enough space both in the garden and internally. Everything we needed was there, so if it wasn't there, it probably wasn't essential. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend.
