The bar. This felt like an afterthought, in a poor position. Beer selection was inadequate (eg no Blanche) and all the seats were uncomfortable (I tried them all). No wonder it appeared little used. Breakfast selection a little erratic - for example, no mushrooms the first day and smoked salmon eventually appeared on my last morning!!

Closeness to Bruxelles Midi, great if arriving by train and easy access to tram services. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Room spacious and comfy. The handrail on the tiled wall in the bathroom to prevent you slipping.

The hotel location is actually very well position, a short walking distance from midi train station which serve the Eurostar and local train service. Walkable to the central of Brussel, and you can finds some attraction along the way. The environment, surrounding of Midi station is the only downside, the road side is smelly and dirty because of homelessness street sleeper and you will not feel safe when walking on the road to Hotel from station. It is not a pleasant stay if you do not have a car.

Two small niggles. Aircon is difficult to operate and noisy when switched on. TV has very limited choice of English language stations.

Good location for Brussels Midi station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed. Quiet. Clean. Reasonable choice of breakfast. Fairly late checkout which was good when catching a mid-day Eurostar to London.

I was aware of the vibe of this location after reading reviews before booking, but we were traveling by train & I wanted to stay close to the station & "seedy" neighborhoods don't often scare me. The streets were fairly unclean in the area but I never felt threatened or scared in any way. Besides the south train station directly across the street, the Metro station was as well! Just 3-4 stations away from the heart of Brussels.

From the moment we arrived until the last cup of coffee upon leaving, the staff gave us their undivided attention, helping with all sorts of various things. Each & every staff member we interacted with were friendly & super helpful. The beds were very comfy. The entire room was comfy. We never heard the trains at all. Occasionally voices traveling down the hall but all in all, the rooms were extremely well soundproofed!

When you come with flixbus to Midi station, do not go around all station, but only through it, otherwise you will feel all smells:( under bridge.

Hotel is very close to Brussels Midi station. It is convenient, if you need to go early to Charleroi airport, flixbus goes from station, just need to go through the Midi station. All transports are close to hotel.

The neighborhood is horrible and you should avoid walking around at all costs. I only stayed here because I needed to catch an early train abroad. That’s the only reason why I would recommend someone to stay here because most other hotels around are dodgy. Novotel charges high rates for the room they can offer in this neighborhood but they know they have the monopoly on being pretty much the sole decent hotel next to the Brussels-South train station. Therefore, I would still encourage people to book a room here if you are in my situation. It’s not worth it to stay at a less reputable place.

We were trapped at the elevator and it took over 30mins for a technician to come help us out. It was an awful 😖 experience

I didn't like the location. On the day of my return, I was attacked at a pedestrian crossing on Stalingrad Street and a gold chain around my neck was stolen.
