Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe staff can not speak Dutch only French and broken English and it's a shame as Belgium is loosing it's identity to the French. The staff was not very friendly or helpful but it makes sense as that is a trademark of the French

United KingdomI was staying in a room with a balcony. It was very cold inside the room (was snowing outside) due to the breeze coming in from the door. As the room was kind of L shapped and the heater above the door, it made standing by the door lovely and warm but the main room cold. I had to go and ask for a portable heater, which they kindly provided for me.
Good location and staff very friendly. One of the best continental breakfasts i have had. Lots of choice and even had eggs, sausage and beans. Waffle maker was great too. Staff very friendly. Rooms basic but everything you meed.

North MacedoniaThe rooms were too small and the beds were really close together. The staff could have been a bit more friendly. We asked for our invoice upon arrival, and they told us you have time, no need to worry about that now. We asked again the next day and they told us we’ll give you the invoice when you check out. The last morning the invoice wasn’t ready when we were checking out, so we had to wait and were late to our business meeting because of it. The staff wasn’t very informed about some methods of public trabsport which was very weird for me.
Proximity to public transport, the breakfast was good value for the money. We were also very close to the Atomium and the hotel allows you to cancel the booking one day before arrival which is not very common for Brussels. The staff member Tamara with whom I discussed the booking arrangement was super helpful and replied very quickly.

NetherlandsThe location was perfect for the event we were going to, but otherwise wouldn't have stayed there. The rooms are a bit shabby as well.
The gentleman who helped us out at the front desk was delightful, even switching the room for us when we had an issue, with a smile and no problem at all.

BulgariaI would suggest the breakfast places to be cleaned more frequently. I do not say the hygiene was not OK, however sometimes we had to clean ourselves the table after the previous guests.
Everything was OK taking into account the purpose of our visit - a concert at the nearby stadium. The staff members were very helpful and kind.

United KingdomNo tea or coffee in the room. It's not too much to ask for, is it?
The room had air con, which was greatly appreciated! The bed was extremely comfy and I had a great nights sleep. The hotel is very close to Palais 12, which is where I was heading. Staff were very friendly. They served food at the bar but it was not exactly quality. Microwaved meals but it was appreciated that they served food all night. Free bottle of water in the room which was a nice touch. Plenty of power points in the room.

CroatiaShower water temperature stability on the 3rd floor was not ideal, and no toilette brush in any room we had was a new experience. Though Accor group prodes itself on eco conscientiousness, only two relatively big towels and single use glasses procided in the room are confusing. On the arrival, the petrol station in front of the entrance is not really appealing. Light sleepers may wish to request a room on the back side of the hotel, with a view on a parking lot.
I stayed at the ibis Brussels Expo Atomium hotel with my family and a dog. It was a good experience overall. The rooms were clean and tidy, which is always a plus. The hotel's location appears to be convenient for anyone attending events at the Expo grounds, The limited (and paid) parking spaces available behind the hotel are convenient for those who have their own transport. Polite and friendly staff made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel shows signs of wear and tear and could do with remodeling, but it's certainly not a disaster. The rooms are simple and basic, and while some are more spacious than others, irregular funny-shaped rooms can be a bit odd. However, the rooms are functional and the beds are comfortable, The lack of fuss or thrills in the room design is not a major issue. Some design is invested in colorful stairways. Blackout curtains provided in the room. TV had no english channels available, but free wifi should enable video streaming from other sources. The hotel bar on the ground floor is offering breakfast service, which we did not try. One of the highlights of the hotel is that it offers connected rooms, which can be handy for families or larger groups. Overall, I would recommend the ibis Brussels Expo Atomium for its cleanliness, lower room price than in Brussels city center, and a very polite staff. The hotel could use some updates, but it's still a great option for those looking for a comfortable, no-frills stay.
