Room not cleaned by two or three in afternoon. Put right after complaint. Lot of steps with inadequate hand rails, unsuitable fir anyone with mobility problems.

There is no usual buffet here, but when you are offered a menu, do not hesitate, you can order several dishes. It's a little longer, but it's very tasty and convenient! You can also note the location of the hotel. It's very comfortable.

Breakfast on the first day ran out of bread for toast On the last day, they ran out of butter. I find it difficult to believe a hotel as good as this would fall down on such a simple matter.

Not much English so communication with the stuff wasn't always easy. The bed was missing a wood plate so wasn't as comfortable as could be but it's not an issue that can't be easily fixed.

Excellent location! Very nice rooms with big dimensions, big shower and lovely balcony. Great service and very helpful stuff, they helped us out when we needed. Overall a great place tp spend a holiday.

The bed cover was dirty, the night staff was not aware what the rooms have as equipment and mislead me that there is no hair-dryer where each room had such. The carpet was stained of a flooding from the bathroom in the past.

Although on arrival everything was in order, the atmosphere was rather frosty - Shrugs and one word answers! The room was spacious and included an ensuite with bath. The website and the in-room literature need updating as they now contain inaccurate information: Wellness area is out of action; Restaurant is out of action; Bathrobes/slippers are not provided, although there is a page in the literature that lists the “Fines” for damaging or removing items. I did feel as though I needed to do a “Condition Survey” on arrival at the room to ensure I wouldn’t be charged for the already existing carpet stains and lack of robes etc. The following morning a really great smile from the receptionist who had obviously graduated with honours from Customer Service School. What a difference it makes, and added conversation also. Full marks. Day 3 and even the first day frost had begun to thaw which was a definite improvement.

This Hotel is located in the centre of the old town and so is well placed for some of the interesting, historical sites as well as the beach.

Settling in was very slow and clumsy. We had a standard request - the nicest room to accommodate our special guest. We were informed that all rooms were the same and we were done. Even though the rooms are different. Тhe focus was on payment. The main question was How will you pay? Everything else was in the background.

TV wasn't working, mini-fridge in the room wasn't working. Gym was 'under construction', in-house restaurant only served brunch and the menu was quite basic.

The staff were great, really friendly, room was spacious and elegant, fitted with lots of antique furniture and tall windows. Bed was really comfy. Great place and close to the centre of Varna, everything to see is in walking distance

The hotel is located in an antic building in the center of Varna. The owners gave it 5 stars for some reason - I would honestly give it 3! The hotel does not qualify for 5 stars. Once upon a time, he probably looked pathetic and presentable. But now everything looks depressing. The furniture in the rooms has traces of damage and has not been restored. The equipment is old. The elevator moves like a turtle. There is not even a bathrobe in the room - and this is a 5 star hotel!

Good location in the city center, convenient for work. Large rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bathroom needed some renovation. I could see the stains and damage from a previous leakage. The bathroom door was in a very bad condition. It's not very serious but not welcoming either.

I particularly enjoyed the location, and the parking just in front of the hotel (it's a public parking, not owned by the hotel, and subjected to availability). I have read several poor reviews of this hotel and I don't necessarily agree. I liked the room, the breakfast (although we have received a message from the hotel, about breakfast, which made us set quite low expectations :). We only stayed 2 days but I don't find the case for low expectations, I could say quite the opposite.

The food was great (we had breakfast included in our stay ) but there are often mistakes on the orders and too long waiting even for an alacarte. It is a 5 stars hotel so that should not be happening.

Rooms are big and clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
