Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was not cleaned daily, and the tub where I showered was clogged. The gym is placed a bit weird, but its ok.
Staff was kind and helpful, the location cannot get better. I didnt have any breakfast, but lunch, which very good, and cocktails, were also good.

as central as you could get - literally in the city centre and ten seconds walk from the metro line. shops nearby, landmarks, including a historical landmark within the hotel grounds itself. excellent breakfast, great surroundings, and really lovely attentive staff.

MY ROOM (AND I SAY MY ROOM BECAUSE LATER I FOUND OUT FROM THE RECEPTIONIST THAT THERE ARE SOME RENOVATED ROOMS) WAS DARK, SMALL AND OUTDATED. ALSO ON THE PHONE THERE WAS A HAIR (WHICH MEANS THAT THE CLEANLINESS WAS NOT UP TO SCRATCH). ALSO IN THE BATHROOM THERE WAS NO MIXER AND NO SHOWER BUT A BATHTUB WHICH IT MAY DIFFICULT FOR SOME ELDERLY PEOPLE TO GET IN. THE LID FROM THE BIN IN THE BATHROOM WAS BROKEN. ALSO, IN THE MORNING THE MAIDS STARTED TALKING LOUD FROM 8 AM.
GREAT LOCATION, NEXT TO THE METRO STATION LINE M4 WHICH IT COMES STRAIGHT FROM THE AIRPORT ( 30 MIN TRIP, TICKET COST 1,60 BGN), VERY HELPFUL STAFF, NICE HOTEL BUT NOTHING EXTRAORDINARY. I DINT HAVE BREAKFAST SO I DONT KNOW HOW IT WAS BUT I HAD DRINKS AT THE HOTEL'S BAR WHICH THEY WERE GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS GOOD TOO

The room was pretty dated and definitely needed some TLC - the bathroom especially was pretty run down with dials or switches missing from the wall and a couple of random holes lower down Breakfast seemed super expensive - we left it off our booking because there's no shortage of options for great breakfasts nearby Our curtains wouldn't close for the first couple of nights, but see the box for things I liked
It was really well located for everything you'd want to do in central Sofia The building lobby is beautiful - worth just popping in for a look if you're not staying there. The check-in process was good - I was given recommendations of things to see and do nearby and given a map The bar was really pretty and, the girl working there was really friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. The room itself was great value for money There was a proper coffee machine, not just a kettle The staff happily fixed a maintenance issue with our room after a couple of days and offered us a different room if they couldn't fix it

The heating in the night kept increasing making it very diffficult to sleep. I had to come down at 3am to let the hotel receptionist know whom turned off the central heating. The bathroom also had no door which I thought was odd and comprised privacy in the room if you are sharing.
Great hotel, great amenities, great location. Friendly staff. The bathroom in the room was a highlight (but had no door)

The water in the shower was lukewarm, I could not convince the staff of this but given the hot weather it was not a huge issue.
The hotel is located in the city center and next to the subway. This is very convenient. The size of the room was sufficient. We did not have breakfast as in my opinion paying 20€ per person was too expensive given that there are so many excellent cafes nearby. The staff was friendly.

Given the size of the room, the bathroom was a little small without a separate shower. Plus the water didn't come from the shower over head but a handheld shower which you couldn't hook up when washing. There was a leak at the sink when the water was running which was not a big issue and I informed reception about on departure.
Our room was so spacious with everything set up for our arrival (extra beds for children). We had a lovely bottle of Bulgarian wine and fruit platter waiting for us which was a really nice touch. Location was great, super central.

Nothing to add. Bed was comfy. Room clean, staff were lovely, nothing not to like
The hotel is right next to the Metro. So we were able very easily travel from the airport to the hotel (the metro is very easy and it's one line, no changes to Serdika). The hotel is located very centrally. Perfect base for our short time in Sofia.

There wasn't really something in particular that we didn't like. If I have to find something that maybe we did find it could be better, the lights of the room were too dim and there was no way to increase the intensity.
The hotel is a gorgeous palace in the heart of Sofia. The reception hall is beautiful and it gives you a warm welcome already. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is super comfy. The bathroom was clean, not too modern facilities but good enough. Breakfast was very good with lots of options
