There is kitchen but it is really tiny. But if you stay only 1-2 nights, it’s okay.

Its location is just 2 blocks away from the main square of the historic center. We stayed in the private room so it was a good stay. The breakfast was really good, including some fruits as well.

Wifi in the dorms could be better but works well on the landing. It can be very noisy at night but things seem to calm down after 2300/midnight.

This was my second stay - definitely a better option in Salvador than many others. I would stay again.

2 of the toilets had no curtains facing the outside so it feels a bit exposed. Wifi wasn't reliable in the dorm but worked well on the landing.

This was the third hostel I tried in 24 hours and I was so glad to finally find a place with attentive staff, clean rooms and a great location. Don't be put off by the pictures of the dorms on here, the rooms are very clean and you get fresh linen at check-in. The female dorm with fan was great, beds were comfy and room was bright. There was a bit of an issue with where to put large suitcases/backpacks but otherwise it was great. There are secure lockers for valuables outside the room. I would definitely stay here again.

- noise outside the window (drumming scholl right across the street, practice literally beneath the window; leading up to christmas festivities in the main square with music til very late) - no real space to put the backpack other than a bit of floor - matresses are really layn thru, should get changed

Extremely clean, ideally situated in wonderful Pelourinho and with police presence around all the time. Staff is super friendly, they even upgraded us to a better room with private bathroom. Breakfast is good.

The room was very good. The shared bathroom has a hedious door, you have to face it sideway to get in. The breakfast very poor for Brazilian hostels standads (only one kind of fruit)

Loud: Thin walls in my room, so I could hear everything in the hostel until late at night and starting again at 6am.

Not really a sociable hostel at all as the only common area is the café, which is open to the public so no good for bonding with fellow travellers. Likewise, hostel events seemed to mostly be third party things for travellers to join. It was our main gripe during what we expected to be a very social carnival.

Really can't be this place's location in Pelourinho! For a base during carnival it couldn't be faulted. You're about a 20 min walk from a hairpin in the Campo Grande circuit and have the main Pelourinho stuff within seconds. Our private room faced inwards so was not subject to the noise that street-facing rooms would've had. It was spacious, cleaned partway through our stay and was on par with comfort expected from a hostel. The small deck above the café was a great spot to laze in the hammock and recharge before the evenings.

Amazing location right in the beating heart of Pelourinho so there are always things to see and do super close by, you often wake up to the sound of drumming or capoeira. Worth staying there just for this.
