Elevator by reception was not working right and trapped another couple in the night, causing an alarm and pounding & yelling, interrupting our sleep and trauma to the people trapped by door that would not open on 11th floor. No muffins or croissants for breakfast.

Great view, very nice balcony, friendly staff, close to beach, comfortable room, good lobby, close to shops, refrigerator in room, allowed to stay past checkout time so we could leave closer to our flight time.

The bedroom looked a bit tired. Door of the bathroom needs a good painting. Door lock to the balcony needs repair. I believe that the room needs some kind of refreshing.

All Staff were very good and friendly. The hotel location was fantastic. The breakfast was good. It was very nice of you (Mr. Paulo) to give to us a contact for RL94 at the beach, and facilitate the beach towels.

Breakfast was poor, limited selection of hot food, which was really cold, no vegetables, not tasty coffe.

Beautiful hotel at the beach of Copacabana. Big room, good WIFI, comfortable beds. Man in reception was very friendful and helpful.

check in process, we arrived at the hotel 8 in the morning knowing that check in was not till 2, we requested to get a room at the earliest, however by the time the room was ready it was 4.30 in the evening, we felt like that time could have been better utilized. staff was not communicating about when the room will be ready

I can't say one negative thing about my stay at the Olinda. It's run like a 5-Star NY hotel, with the courtesy of a Southern Bed and Breakfast.

Amazing staff, location, cleanliness, security, technology, breakfast, privacy and comfort. This place has it ALL. I arrived five hours before check in and the staff were gracious enough to hold my luggage and allow me to freshen up from my 12 hour trip to allow me to roam the strip while preparing my room early for me. Literally a hidden 5-Star gem.

We had a room on the upper floor with a balcony with a perfect view on Copacabana beach. We enjoyed the views and our time in Rio. Breakfast was very good, with everything we expected. The people at the reception were very helpful. The hotel has a perfect location, with walkable distance to subway ( 5 min.), Copacabana beach right in front of the hotel, 15 min walk to Ipanema beach, couple of restaurants nearby. Perfect location, beach towels included.

I think the furniture should be replaced with a newer one.

Stop using plastic stirrers at breakfast and have shower gel in rooms in reusable bottles rather than soap, so much of which must get wasted.

Great location directly on Copacabana Beach and about mid way along the beach. Close to bars, restaurants and shops. Staff on reception and porters very friendly and helpful. Room was a nice size, clean and with a big comfortable bed. The bathroom was also a nice size with a powerful shower. Great selection at breakfast and breakfast starts at 6am which is great for eating before any tours. Would love to stay here again if ever in Rio again.

One thing that should be corrected- vents with a lot of dust on them and some black residue on light switches in a bathroom. Daily cleaning was perfect though.

Location- right on a beach, plenty of restaurants and all you need for beach vacation. Also about 10 min ride to Pão de Açúcar. Great staff - we were there in the morning- were able to store luggage and use a bathroom to change and leave for breakfast. Room was ready about 2 hrs before check in time. Also at the desk there were people speaking both English and Portuguese. We were also able to leave luggage for most of the day after check out. Typical Brazilian breakfast- which we loved and found a lot of options for our family.
