There honestly is nothing not to like here. I just wish I could have stayed here longer!

The hospitality was exceptional. From the arrival to checking out we were looked after very well. The owner spoke English, German, French and portugese so was very helpful with advice and information about the local area. The breakfast spread each morning was the best I've experienced.(I've travelled alot aswell). The nature and surroundings made this place even more beautiful and I was lucky to see monkeys in the hotel garden itself. I am already planning a trip next year. Highly recommend to everyone!!

The location is a good 20-25 minutes walking from the old town. Uber does drive there for drop-offs though and the owner has numbers for cab drivers

We loved everything. It was a very beautiful and calming place that felt like home, we could chill, relax and enjoy the good vibes that Bjorn and Larissa created for us. They are so sweet and welcoming, very servicial, spoiling us with amazing food, helping and answering all our questions and needs (tours, laundry, taxi, extra tasty food hehe). Always received us with a big smile, genuine interest and loving warmth presence and care. It was always clean and you can notice how they care for little details, like we always had available water, mosquito spray and whatever we needed. the room was very well eqquiped with ventilator, towels, very comfy beds, hairdryer, fridge, etc. also the music playlist was great :) We will definitely come back again at the first chance we have :D

Cozy hotel just outside town, easier to have a car here so you can drive into the historic centre and explore all the beaches and other places around Paraty. Friendly owner and amazing breakfast along with comfy rooms. Would return!

We loved this hostel, we have travelled around Brazil for one month and our 4 days at Planeta Banana was our favourite hostel of all! It was clean, the room was beautiful, the hostel itself was a lovely setting with a beautiful garden and so close to the beach. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the best part of all was the hostel dog, Lola, who stole our hearts ❤️🥺

One room had an old and somewhat noise air condition. It's also a bit difficult to find. It's around 20min walk into the old down town.

The place is gorgeous, the "court yard" is beautiful with lot's of green and comfy furniture. The rooms are clean and in good condition. In one room we had a modern and quiet air condition. Björn is very friendly and helpful with giving tips for what to do in Paraty. On top of it, he does speak German, which was very helpful for us.

One of our favourite places to stay in 3 months travelling! This was the single best breakfast in all our travels. If this was a restaurant, I would change my plans just to go eat here. You start off with incredible fresh fruit selection and then get fresh bread from the bakery close by. This cones with preserves, hams and cheeses. You get yogurt, coffee, teas and the freshest orange juice imaginable. After that you get made to order scrambled eggs and then a variation of options to finish. We choose the banana crepes and they made a separate dairy free one for me as I'm lactose intolerant. The rooms are huge and have air-conditioning and a fan. We slept incredible well here and the beds were very comfortable. The service here is mind blowing. They make you feel so welcome and we ended up extending our stay to a week. They also have a small pool and the room comes with a fridge and free bottled water. Rooms are cleaned daily too. It is 20min walk from the centre of town and that was no problem for us as you get to see so much more of the town. Totally loved this place and would very highly recommend!!

Everything was perfect. We already knew the breakfast was amazing, but only when we had that for the first time we could confirm all the hype - it's indeed super tasty and well prepared. The people in the hotel are super kind and friendly, which makes the experience much better and cozy. Bjorn is a great host and always wants to make sure you are having a good time. He is always full of recommendations and ideas, even on some not-so-sunny days. The Hotel is also pretty close to a stand-up pedal and kayaking area, so if you are willing to have a different morning exercise routine, that's a good shout. It is really safe, and you can go to the city center on foot. But anyway, to come back during the night is only 30 Brazilian reais (fixed price with the local drivers)

Planeta Banana was a great place to stay and visit the beautiful town of Paraty. The historical city centre is only a 20minute walk from the Pousada along the beach. Each morning we were greeted by Lola (the owner's dog) and were treated to an amazing freshly cooked breakfast. Our host Björn was really nice and gave us great suggestions of what to do in the area. On top of that he spoke fluent English and German which came in very handy for us.

I would've liked to have a few more surfaces in the room (a dresser or table) to put clothes and belongings on. Otherwise, all good!

Breakfast was a highlight - cooked to order, with fresh fruits, juice, bread, eggs, tapioca, crepes, meats and cheeses. Really delicious and great value! The property itself is pretty and peaceful with lots of trees, flowers, hummingbirds and butterflies. The jacuzzi was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Björn and his team were extremely friendly and welcoming - thank you!

quite a walk to Paraty old town and it was almost impossible to get an Uber. Not many options to go out for dinner close by the pousada.

What a lovely pousada!!! Place is super cute, truly an oasis. Bedrooms also great, with simple but good decor, great bed. Best breakfast ever! Owner (Bjorn) and the staff are the best! We can’t wait to come back!
