First room did have limited privacy because only window faces entry gate, but I could change quickly to a better room

We had an amazing time in Pousada Manga Rosa. The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was really good. The location was also perfect and really close to the city center. A special thanks to Naiara for all the help during our stay.

physical maintenance could be better. Some mattresses were not so great. The front rooms get a great deal of street noise.

The room smellt a bit mouldy, which was not the best for me, given my asthma. However, they had dehumidifier and good ventilation and airconditioner in the room so that helped.

The staff were really helpful and kind. The breakfast was lovely and the location is perfect. We also liked the room and the bed was comfortable.

Depending on the time one needed to wait for some time for the ordered breakfast to be prepared. The breakfast was really good though with fresh fruits and some juice :) WC very close to the shower which was not that optimal but was a very minor thing for me and it was still very clean!

A family business run by a very nice lady! Although they don't speak much English they tried to accommodate and explain everything and gave me lots of tips. Very nice and friendly atmosphere and cozy Brazilian vibe <3 The location is also really good and very close to the old town. Felt really safe as a solo female traveler and was convenient to be able to return home walking after midnight since Uber is not much available in Paraty Really clean!

- The staff is not super friendly, they didn’t make conversation or anything. I was surprised in comparison to every other place I’ve stayed in Brazil. - We were charged the full amount as soon as we checked in, 5 minutes after arriving. This left a bad taste in my mouth, the hostess hadn’t even said two words to me before asking for money. I’ve also never had to pay for a pousada/hotel before check out. - the breakfast is very very basic. Just toast, cheese, ham, scrambled eggs, yogurt. - there isn’t much of a view of anything - thin walls - very hard to flush the toilet

Situated just a stone’s throw away from the historic centre and a short walk from the beach, this pousada is like a little garden retreat with lovely areas to sit and relax. There are lots of eateries, pharmacies, and shops nearby. Our room was clean and cozy with sufficient storage space and a table to sit at. There’s also a smart TV if you need that. They would also clean the room for you and provide you with fresh towels when you need them. The staff - Dila and Thalita, were amazing! So friendly, welcoming and helpful, always making sure we had what we need. We also loved the daily breakfast - so many items to choose from and customizable to what you like. We had a wonderful stay!

The room we stayed in: The description of the room is not correct. >the room is not well maintained, >has electrical wires hanging in the shower, >has a noisy dehumidifier running all the time because the room is so damp. >very limited natural light/fresh air >the bathroom fittings are loose/fall off if touched >the walls need paint. >the room is not the size indicated. >there are also tiny little black insects crawling on the floor. Not a healthy place to stay and certainly not pleasant. The owner (Monica) refused to accept our concerns and refused a refund saying it is our own fault for booking with her. We stayed just around the corner and had a wonderful stay there.

Staff does not speak English. The room is very small. Their site says that staff is available 24/7. However, I came early to drop off my luggage and I had to wait outside for over an hour until the staff came to work at 7 am.
