The property is paradise. The location is beautiful with a gorgeous view. The breakfast was fantastic and best of all the staff were amazing. I’ve never met hotel staff who are so happy to help out and make the holiday a good experience. This is the best place we have ever stayed. We will definitely be back! I loved all of the little extras that made our stay feel special: welcome coconut water and dessert, friendly conversation at breakfast from all staff, a water and snack for our journey back to Rio. The pool is lovely and refreshing, and the grounds were beautiful with all of the flowers, plants, birds and butterflies.

- Our car kept bumping in the access ramp to the pousada, although we tried to follow instructions on how to avoid this - The mattress was a bit too much on the soft side, bending on the sides - The coffee served at breakfast isn't so good, although you can get a nespresso for a modest extra charge (BRL 7)

Our stay at Pousada Villa Canaã lived up to all of the other amazing reviews. The property is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is great. Marcus & Simone were both so friendly and helpful - can't recommend staying with them enough!

I liked everything but the beautiful terraced construction of the suites and Villa make for steep levels up or down, so it’s not wheelchair territory . Just FYI

Perfect hosts make you feel very welcome . It is like staying with family . The suites are great and have a nice view on the beautiful nature around the Pousada . The place feels very authentic in its surroundings. Simone and Marcus are great at pampering the guests and keep surprising you with little extras . They clearly enjoy what they do. Breakfast is amazing. Same level as the Aman resorts i ve been fortunate to visit .

The property itself it gorgeous. The rooms are clean and welcoming and the interior decorating is well thought out and breath taking. The common grounds are stunning. A special shout out to the gorgeous infinity pool and homey kitchen that leaves you feeling excited to start the day. This is one of the most beautiful properties I have ever stayed in and I have done plenty of traveling. That being said the property is far from the best part about this Booking. Marcos and Simone make this place truly special. As an American traveler in Brazil they did such a phenomenal job at making me feel comfortable. I was blown away by their hospitality. They make you feel like you are family while also being attentive hosts who accommodate whatever you need to make the stay memorable. Last but not least the homemade breakfast each morning was out of this world. A truly special experience to wake up to fresh and delicious food. We have been hone for weeks and are still thinking about those breakfasts. I hardly ever leave reviews but this stay deserves its praise. 10/10 and will recommend to any and everyone!

Amazing pousada, managed by the owners, both very friendly and helpful who provided us tips to enjoy our stay in Buzios even more. Breakfast was fantastic, on top of the regular buffet, there was a selection of freshly cooked options from the kitchen and a new homemade dessert every day. Rooms and shared spaces were very clean and lots of thoughtfully considered details that made our stay extra pleasant.

The best has been the kind and helpful service of Marcos and Simone, the owners and hosts of the pousada. And the amazing breakfast they prepare themselves. They were careful of my gluten restrictions. The pousada is beautiful and quiet, the views are amazing. We had a great time.

The only real issue to be aware of is that this property is built on a very steep hillside. If you have any mobility issues you may find it tiring even taking the short walk back to your room from the pool/breakfast area. Aside from that just be aware that all sugary drinks/foods must not be left out of the fridge due to the likelihood of attracting ants, something that locals will understand but foreigners might be less aware of. We were caught out but we soon realised our mistake.

This property is very special. The photo’s and description on Booking.com do not do it justice. The owners have created this 7 room Villa with the most incredible care and attention. It has been crafted perfectly into the hillside. With a large electric gate it feels very safe and secure. Marcus and Simone, the owners, have literally thought of everything. This isn’t just their business but their home and every inch of it oozes quality. The icing on the cake is the food and in particular the breakfast. Each guest is greeted like a friend and served a banquet of finely prepared exotic fruits, cereals, cheeses, ham as well as hot freshly cooked Brazillian specialities, each prepared with the same high level of attention to detail as they put into their home. The breakfast area is very nicely positioned with a lovely view out across the veranda and is reached via a patio area full of character. the patio area is surrounded by beautiful plants which are frequented by colourful birds including hummingbirds feeding from the nectar feeders. The bird song whilst you enjoy your breakfast is wonderful. Marcus and Simone are a lovely couple who have worked extremely hard to create this and make all the guests feel at home. We were a party of 5, 3 travelled from England. The whole group all felt that this was the finest accommodation of its type and the best breakfast we have enjoyed anywhere. if you are considering visiting just go for it, you won’t regret it.

I'd like to have stayed longer!!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Buzios! Marcus and Simone are exceptional hosts, we felt like we were visiting friends we hadn't seen in a while! Their hospitality is top notch, they greeted us personally and took the time to explain everything about the pousada and the area. They gave us suggestions about beaches, places to visit and restaurants. As mentioned in other reviews, their breakfast is delicious and very substantial, apart from what's on the buffet they offer a hot meal and dessert made fresh everyday... this is a truly special place run by wonderful people! We'll definitely come back, beijos do Marrocos :D

This place is MAGIC. Marcus and Simone, the owners, make you feel like family. The food, the views, the kindness, the pool, the layout, the clean smelling rooms and shower - all of it was WONDERFUL. 10 out of 10. I wouldn’t change a thing about the experience. I loved walking to downtown Buzios every night and thoroughly enjoyed the beach of Geriba. Coming home to a place that felt safe, clean, and full of joy was so rewarding.

The welcome from the owners Marcus and Simone is top level. You can tell they put a lot of love and attention to every detail at the pousada and towards guest satisfaction. It's a beautiful and peaceful location. Relax by the pool and enjoy delicious snacks made in house and wake up to a breakfast to die for. Best stay of our holiday!

Everything was amazing from start to finish. Simone and Marcus and the rest of the staff were such incredible hosts and made us feel so welcome at their beautiful pousada. The rooms were very clean, comfy and have great views of the infinity pool and surrounding hills. Amazing breakfast and location (set in a tranquil spot but very easy to walk to the beaches and the main street with bars and restaurants). Could not recommend any higher!

Amazing welcome from Simone & Marcus. Taking the time to explain the region, give the tips…helping to understand the area, being foreigner or tourist with kids isn’t always easy, having hosts helping is appreciated. The pousada is like an hotel (being independent) but you can also find the family spirit for anything you need. The breakfast, is a long story, best one we’ve had in 15days, only fresh and diverse offer, they also prepare anything you want/need. Price is worth the service!! I recommend Pousada Canaa for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend or days, as couple or family.

Everything!! The location, the facilities, the room, the view, and on top of it: The hosts! Marcus and Simone are fantastic! And will do absolutely everything to make you feel at home. Moreover - The breakfast is delicious! It is not your usual breakfast buffet - It has a huge variety of food - Fruits, desserts, juices, eggs. This is by far the best place I have stayed at ij Brazil. If I go back to Buzios, I will 100% stay here again.
