Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaTo add a little grain of salt the this beautiful property. Firstly, from the advertisement we expected to stay on a ground floor but in reality it was a basement. I would suggest to specify it in the description (especially in accessibility section). Secondly, we had neighbours passing multiple times by our door in the night time making noise (which probably was just a matter of our bad luck 😅) and turning bright lights on right in front of our door and leaving them on for a long time. Probably a little sensor detecting movement and turning light on for a determined period of time could be helpful in some common spaces like entrance to the unit.
I loved the little family B&B and all the thoughtful details it provided, like toiletry (including ear swabs and makeup removing), wardrobe for shower, lots of towels in our room, hair dryer, large and high bed, and a smaller bed for our kid, fresh lining, bed cover with lots of decorative pillows, warm blanket. The heating is good, at night we were warm and sometimes even hot, even though the owners were thoughtfully setting the heating a bit lower for a more healthy sleep. All those little details like Exit sign always lit on (fire safety), little night lamps in washrooms and common spaces, board games, everything for tea and coffee (outside owners kitchen in the common area) and dishes in case you decide to have some dinner inside during your stay in the unit. Soundproofed rooms (we had neighbours but couldn’t hear them when they stayed in their room nor the owners living upstairs). We had fridge and TV in our room, and also an electronic table watch on a bed stand. The Brita filter water pitcher was my biggest surprise ♥️. The breakfasts were served in the owners kitchen at a specified time, they were healthy, refined and elegantly served, and all homemade 👩🍳 (my 8 y.o. got so inspired that wants to serve at home in the same manner). Everything in the property has a personal touch of the owners especially the art works 🖼️ on the walls everywhere you go. Anne and Nicolas are very nice people who are dedicated to make your stay very comfortable and hustle free, that made us feel at home (or even better). We were in the winter-spring season so were outside of the swimming pool season and couldn’t try it, but the pool is large and fenced. Overall we recommend this place and willing to comeback ourselves.

CanadaI was pleased to find this bed and breakfast available in Ste-Julie as it was close to a wedding venue we were attending and this region of Quebec is quite lovely in the Fall. The owners, Anne and Nicholas are charming hosts and knowledgeable about the region. A delicious home-cooked breakfast is included with the room price. The three comfortable and well appointed bedrooms are in the basement of the home together with a large living room/coffee area and two shared bathrooms.

CanadaIt’s not that I didn’t like it but I didn’t pay attention that it’s a basement. I can’t recall the description. Saying this, I won’t have changed my booking as I was looking for smthg different than a hotel or an Airbnb.
Very homey atmosphere. You can’t ask more for the price. The B&B has a huge yard that we weren’t able to spend time in because of the weather ( very hot day). We lived the interaction with Anne and her husband as well as we the others guests around the breakfast table. The breakfast was amazing.

CanadaI don't think there is anything that needs to be improved. All pretty good!
The setting is excellent, the owner has great taste, she reads a lot of art related books and the house is tastefully furnished. And she designed the garden herself. We checked in late (around 10pm) and I apologize for disturbing the owner's rest, but she didn't feel offended by it at all. The host was very friendly!!! She was very kind to our kids, too! The breakfast was very tasty. She also reads a lot of cooking related books and when we asked her questions about table manners, she was able to quickly and precisely pull out a relevant book and turn to that page to show us, you could tell that she really reads them regularly. There was also a cute little kitty and dog that she checked with us to make sure she was allergic before reporting it when we asked. We regretted that we didn't have enough time to browse the gardens at the back of the house for our visit, and we hope that everyone who arranges their own trips arrives early and leaves late, it will be well worth it.

Hong KongWe were a group of 2 families with 3 kids occupying 2 rooms. We didn't realize that there is only 1 full bathroom in the property which was unfortunately given to the occupants of the 3rd room. So 7 of us had to share 1 shower room and 1 separate toilet which was a bit of a hassle when 7 people are in queue to use this in the morning. But there were sufficient towels for everyone.
Great property with a warm homely feel. Well decorated place with the owner's own artwork. The rooms were lovely and had a cozy living area. Warm welcome and excellent breakfast served by the hosts themselves feeling us welcomed there paying attention to each and every preference including the kids. Goes above and beyond to satisfy the guest's requirements.

CanadaOur stay at Anne Drouin's B & B was lovely. Upon arrival, we realized that we had booked the wrong date. She was friendly and accommodating, and was able to host us that night. The room was beautifully decorated with her original paintings. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioning. There was a comfortable little living room in which we relaxed and chatted with the other guests. The bathrooms (shower room and separate toilet) were shared with the other guests and provided all of the necessities (towels, soup, shampoo etc.). We enjoyed the large, beautiful gardens around the house as well as the warm in-ground pool. Breakfast was amazing and included fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and a delicious cheese omelette. Anne is a warm and generous host. The price was extremely reasonable. I would definitely return to Anne's pension when in the Montreal area.

United States of AmericaI can't say that there is anything that I didn't like about this stay. Other than the fact that our personal schedule didn't allow for us to stay for breakfast and experience the true bed and breakfast experience as a whole.
I loved the warm welcoming. We even received a guided tour of the beautiful gardens on the property. The entire floor downstairs was clean and beautiful and welcoming. Nice restroom and more than enough to feel right at home. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was more than accommodating.

CanadaOnly that we didn't plan to stay longer.
Mme Drouin was a fantastic and extremely gracious host! Her home, paintings, pool, patio and yard are absolutely beautiful and the home was extremely clean! She greeted us warmly as we arrived and gave us the tour. Her artistic skill is apparent in the creative and unique décor inside and around the yard. It was fun to meet their adorable dog, two cats and the laying hens. We loved swimming under the stars and even saw some fireflies in the grape vines around the pool. The breakfast was delicious and she provided excellent gluten free options for a celiac diet. The red tulip triptych in the common sitting room was my favorite painting. Our biggest regret is that we could only stay for one night. If you are booking with Mme Drouin, you should definitely stay for more than one night. Our stay was certainly too short!

CyprusThere was no lock on our door. There were spiders/spider nets in the ceiling and corners of the toilet. The breakfast was a very small portion (granola and breads with some fruits), we would have liked more choice and more quantity, including hot food (such as eggs). In addition to all above, as soon as we stepped in the owner Lady Anne requested to increase our accomodations fee to the current rate and she said we did an early booking ...this took my moral all down because we travelled all the way through to experience an artist place. I said to her neither her nor Booking com informed me about the increase in prices so we will not pay the difference..We paid the reserved amount but this situation spoiled my stay completely...we just wondered if the breakfast was the result of not accepting to pay the current rates..be careful please about your rights on reservation polices
The accommodation was pretty with lots of lovely paintings. The living room had good tea and coffee facilities. We appreciated the presentation and home cooked breakfast.
