Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAsked for fresh towels and they never came. Dirty hallways. Found out last day that the next week the hotel was being torn down and to be rebuilt. Probably the reason we received minimal service.
Good location.

CanadaThe lack of parking was inconvenient. Also, the elevator made me think it was going to drop. And the showers were a bit uncomfortable, probably because the building is old.
There was no parking, if you plan to travel here, please do not rent a car, city can be roamed by foot because the location is great or there is a train 1 block away. Had to spend additional ~60$ for parking

United KingdomSmall room overfilled with large items of furniture. Very little space for our 2 large suitcases.
The location is great. The hotel is directly opposite the metro and 4 minutes walk from the bus station. Easy to catch the 747 bus from the airport to the bus station (turn left out of bus station, then first left to the hotel). The lady on reception spoke excellent English and couldn't have been more helpful. There is also a fabulous cafe (L'Oeufrier, Atateken) a 5 minute walk from the hotel, serving gigantic portions of excellent food.

CanadaThe coffee/tea machine was there, but there was only Earl grey tea and no coffee, so I didn't use it. The TV only had a remote for the box, but not the TV.
The location was perfect - across the street from a central Metro station. The room was comfortable and clean.

Good position. Very handy for the Old Town. Basic but comfortable. Nice bathroom. Very quiet. We wanted to extend a couple of days and the lady on the front desk was very helpful.

CanadaSome of the staff were a little stand offish. One of the younger staff made up for this and was very friendly with lots of helpful tips and suggestions. As a place to work remote it wasn't very suitable.

United States of AmericaThe location was absolutely fantastic; however, the price paid did not align with similar hotels in that area that I've previously stayed at. When booking I had assumed that because it was a pricier hotel it would be a fancier hotel but it was not. It was just a simple hotel room with nothing special. There was a very awkward building support column directly on the right side of the bed so if you got out of bed on the right side you would bump into it – very odd.
The location was absolutely fantastic and the person working at reception was wonderful with good advice as to tourist attractions and restaurants in the area within our price range.

CanadaThere is a construction site next door - it's quite loud, which made it impossible to work inside. I had to find a cafe not too far from the hotel. Also, the beds could be better. Finally, given that there is no breakfast provided, I think the price could be a bit cheaper.
Very close to Berri-UQAM - literally next door. Nice personnel.

CanadaThere is no parking at the hotel. We were directed to a parking lot with in and out previlege which was perfect for us. However, later on, we found out we could not get to it because of road closure. I think the hotel should have updated information for the clients. There was another issue of PR. There was a false fire alarm in the middle of the night, around 3am. All guests were evacuated. We stood outside of the hotel for an hour, waiting for the firefighters to confirm that it was safe to go back in. It was no fun standing outside in the unseasonably cold weather. It would be nice to get an apology or acknowledgment for the inconvenience and discomfort by the hotel, although the false alarm was unintentional.
It is clean. The bed is comfortable. The hotel provides all necessary toilette items. Location is good. The metro is right across the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful.

CanadaTowels are quite small for an adult Dispensers in the washroom are empty and plain bottles with no markers of 'soap'/'shampoo' are provided instead Iron was dirty - had to ask for replacement No breakfast or amenities are provided so the price has to be reflective of this: $800 a night? Really? F1 event shouldn't be a factor in this.
Facility was nice and location very convenient Safe in the room is useful Fridge in the room is great

GermanyMaybe its my European background, but there was not much victorian about this hotel, neither in or outside. Despite supposedly a 'free upgrade' the CAD 180 incl taxes that we paid was much overcharged, for a rather run-down room. We've had much better stays for less.
Welcome was really nice, and the lady at the reception really very friendly, nice and helpfull. The quartier Latin around the corner is a nice part of the city: we liked it more then the old innercity, which is very touristy and with many addicts.

United States of AmericaJust be careful in the shower. The hot water is scalding and the cold water is quite cold. Both are controlled with separate levers, and getting the right blend is tricky.
When I first checked into my room there was a smell of what I thought might be cigarette smoke in the bathroom. I didn't want to get accused of and charged for smoking in a non-smoking room so I went down to the reception to report the smell. I was clear that I didn't expect anything to be done about the problem. I just wanted them to know about it. Nonetheless, the concierge upgraded my room to a much larger one without any odor. I thought that was pretty good customer service.
