The staff member I met was rude and grumpy. He alone made me feel unwelcome and like I was a hindrance.

Bed was so comfy. The shower had great water pressure. The hotel offers a pick up and drop off at the airport too which was helpful. Location of the hotel is fantastic, lots of places to eat nearby.

Rooms are dated. Carpet needs replacement. Self-served foods in breakfast room need more hygienic presentation..hands-free access, tongs, etc. Remember: hospitality is all about a friendly, welcoming, appreciative attitude.

Location was central to restaurants and most services were within a 10 minute walk. Comfortable bed. Sufficient hot water. Modest complimentary breakfast. Cleaning staff (especially Florida) were hard working. This is a family run operation which could be better organized...check-in and check-out processes were chaotic. Koral offers an excellent 4 hour local features tour...informative, enthusiastic, comprehensive.

They say quiet hours are between but yet both mornings at 6.15am we were woken up by all the guests getting down for breakfast. The walls are so thin we can hear everybody's conversation in the dining area, the foyer or when checking in throughout the door. Whatever you did in the lobby whether it was getting hot water for tea or using the microwave, John senior would be watching you and making comments about the cost of things, which made most things uncomfortable. Telling people how expensive teabags were, telling people he'd be expecting a tip left at the end of the stay etc. When we checked in we were told we were his neighbour and so we best be quiet, we are quiet respectful people anyway but the walls so thin and the bed so noisy and creaky it was impossible to stay silent. We only needed to move an alarm while laying laying bed or turn over and the bed creaked so loud. This usually wouldn't have bothered us and we'd have got on with it but because he'd commented about being so quiet it left us feeling on eggshells the entire stay. We made a conscious effort to be unbelievably polite and friendly to John throughout the stay but still felt like we were intruding into his house rather than feeling like we were staying in a hotel. When checking out John senior put a receipt under our noses for us to pay. I asked why. He wasn't able to give me a reason just said that I needed to pay it. I said I'm happy to pay for it once I know what it is for but I'm not comfortable with signing something that doesn't have any information on. He then gave up asking us to sign it but told others I was refusing to sign it so I immediately responded saying that wasn't the case and that I simply asked what I was signing before I sign.

Amenities were as expected, no better no worse. Shuttle service and free basic breakfast (very limited dietary requirements weren't catered for). Day 2 by 7am there wasn't even boiled eggs so one of us being gluten free couldnt have any breakfast. Location was great.

Use of disposable polystyrene and plastic plates & utensils was horrifying especially in a remote location with rubbish & bear problems. Rooms very small and not soundproof at all.

Location was perfect & breakfast was convenient & adequate. Shuttles to train & plane were great & luggage storage much appreciated.

This is an older building. The staff tries hard, but there are some maintenance needs to be handled. The public use area of this facility is very small.

I wound up here because it was the only place in town with 2 rooms available when I was looking.

I find it very difficult to rate this accommodation, since Churchill is situated in a very remote part of Canada, where life is not easy and many businesses have to get the main part of their income out of the short period of Polar Bear season. Therefore I don't want to be too critical, but to be honest: The place is a little bit run down. Carpet and furniture are intact but well used. Communal areas and rooms are small and not very comfortable. But this fact doesn't matter much, since most guests are here to see Polar Bears and not to experience luxury. In fact, this accommodation corresponds with the authentic frontier character of Churchill.

This is a hostel style accommodation. The managers, John sr. & John jr. are very experienced and will do everything to help their guests not to get lost or attacked by Polar Bears. The room maid Florida is the sunshine of this Inn, taking care with love for all guests. Complementary airport shuttle was flexible and important. Simple but sufficient breakfast. Possibility to rent vehicles at reasonable prices: Our GMC Sierra 4x4 was awesome and allowed us to explore the many surrealistic sights in the area (for example an abandoned rocket launch site) at ower own pace.

Rooms are smaller and Facility is lower end in terms of quality, but we expected this, and very much enjoyed our stay overall.

Very friendly staff and owner. Easy ask to get a ride to/from airport. Quiet and we slept well. Shower pressure warm and hot water was good. Breakfast good- basic with lots of choices. Great location.

Generally no complaints - John Senior can be a bit cranky and off handish,

Like all places in Churchill it was typical. John Jr is a fantastic host - and his staff ladies and guys were very good and accommodated any shortfalls.
