Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe website advertised a pool and hot tub. These are closed down. The room needs a lot of updating, but then we paid a lot less than other motels and hotels in the area.
I liked that there were plenty of businesses and restaurants within walking distance.

IcelandThe fact that our room was hazardous, for one. The smoke detector in the room had been covered with electrical tape, there was an electrical outlet where the frame was badly broken, exposing wires and there was blood on the sheets! The staff member was friendly, but all he could do for us was say "sorry" and that a maintenance person would check it in the morning, and that they had no other rooms available. I paid upwards of $300 for 2 nights where we had to sleep in a room without a smoke detector.. (We got in very late and exhausted so we didn't notice this until after the first night) On top of that the #170 location is right off a busy highway access road and the room we got was right beside the road (30-40 meters) and the soundproofing was atrocious. I would highly recommend reconsidering management and investing in some repairs before you get sued.
At least the bed was decent. To

CanadaThe room was severely overpriced for what you get. We didn't get pillows for the 2nd bed and had to ask for a blanket, which I'm positive they went and purchased right then. There is only 1 room key. The hair dryer obviously had a fire, no pool, and there were cops riddled all over due to the big encampment across the street. Staff helped best rhey could, and the bed wasn't to bad.
The staff accommodated best they could.

United KingdomIt was a bit noisy due to the hwy which could be solved a bit with better windows/sound proofing. The room was dated and could do with some tlc and updating. Over all it did a job, we got some sleep and were on our way easily the next morning.
The location was great, we just needed somewhere along Hwy 1 to crash before a long drive the next morning. There were a number of restaurants etc nearby and of course Tims for coffee in the morning.

Canadaterrible place for dog walking - high traffic and very poor sidewalks 2 night booking but staff checked me out after one night and my key stopped working - I had to sort that out so that I could walk my dog before the event I was attending - this made me late for my event they didn’t warn me ahead about a pet fee, and after I checked out, they called to tell me they needed to charge me an additional pet fee for the second night - disorganized flooring is very worn - laminate flooring is worn through to the base in some places
centrally located and dog friendly a kind front desk person lent me a phone charger

CanadaI felt a little nervous as a single traveller. There seemed to be some street people hanging around the property and when I went out to get a food. They had to buzz me into the lobby because they appeared to be trying to keep out certain people. There was also a huge bug buzzing around the room all night. I do not know what it was but very unpleasant and disturbed my sleep.
Needed to catch a flight from Abbotsford Airport the next morning so it was convenient to stay there. Room was good size.

CanadaSadly there has been an influx of homeless encamped very close to the property. Obviously this is not the owners fault but it does factor in to the overall experience. The room, although clean was quite run down. The bathtub had been badly damaged leaving a permanent “ dirty “ looking surface. Also, it my understanding that this was a non-smoking property but the rooms on each side of us were smoking in the room, as well as some guests that were smoking outside in very close proximity to the rooms.
The room was very clean & they have made an effort to modernize the decor. The TV was good & the channel selection was more than adequate.

CanadaThe area the hotel was in was not the best. There seemed to be a parking lot across the street from the hotel that was a Homeless camp with old trailers and tents and you could see the bonfires and scragglers walking around day and night. The pool and hot were not open and under repairs but that was not mentioned on the Hotel ad / website which would have resulted in us not booking as we enjoy the use of the hot tub in our travels.
The rooms were clean. Hotel was close to everything - Tim Hortons, Walmart, Cactus Club and multiple other restaurants. Easy access to highway.

CanadaThe hot water did not work at all during my entire stay. I was told at check in that it was broken but was told it would be fixed within The hour. It was not fixed and I could not use the shower at all for the duration of my stay. I paid $172 for the room and was not given a discount or refund even though the hot water didn’t work. Not impressed.
