Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaHotel was clean and perfectly fine. But, somehow, it came up short relative to our expectations: - Hotel is on a beautiful riverfront property but there was no way to enjoy the view from indoors (i.e. no sitting area) and there seemed to be no cute area outdoors to draw the guests to. - There was only one elevator that was banged up and used for utility purposes, - The decorative furniture right in front of the main door was awkward and partially blocked access to the lobby, - Artwork was slightly bizarre - There was no breakfast or meals available. The restaurant was closed on the day we were there. These are not major complaints. Our stay was perfectly fine if compared to generic motels. But simply, the place has a lot of potential and owners could do so much more with a little effort (and perhaps some guidance) to take advantage of the location and give the guest far more than a vanilla-ok experience.
Hotel was perfectly decent. The hotel is located close to the small downtown area where there are shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the European-style Christmas market in the town square.

CanadaIt is unfortunate that the restaurant does not open on Mondays. A remnant of the post-covid staff shortage I believe. We had to have breakfast outside, but were warned and there was a coffee machine in the room.
Great value, friendly staff, helpful! Room was a suite and was spacious and clean. Bed was a king and very comfortable. Soundproof quiet. Lovely view on the river.

FranceThe view on the river by night has no sense, no light, nothing... So for having a good time at night and take a drink or eating at the table situated at the window has no sense... We paid for this view, and a Hotel is made for nights, so that's not worthing the value at all. They shutdown the electricity of the microwave after 10pm, so one of us has not been able to eat his frozen dish...
I liked the space in the room for the price. A suite for 220$ instead a single room at 300$ at Quality Inn... The view on the river during the day. We get one hour extra for wrap our stuff, it was very kind of them.

CanadaThe coffee machine in my room didn't work, the hand soap was empty, the cleaners went into my room while i was there although there was a sign to not disturb and i did not check out yet, and a few other small things like that made my stay less than ideal.
Nice rooms, good location, overall a good experience. Staff at the hotel restaurant were very nice and helpful.

CanadaSmall negatives: 1) there was a wedding so we did not have access to the grounds of the hotel before 5:00 PM but it is understandable 2) the bed-sheets on one of the beds were very thin and rough 3) unfortunately, no breakfast is offered because usually it is a buffet and this is not possible during the pandemic but there is coffee in the room.
In the city of Joliette, this hotel is the best choice. Here are the reasons: 1) the location is wonderful, near the city center, near the Music Festival of Lanaudière, and near many historical religious buildings 2) the parking is free and right in front of the main entrance 3) the measures linked to Covid-19 were taken very seriously 4) the staff was very friendly and helpful 5) we had diner and the food was delicious at a reasonable price and a shooter drink was offered with the compliments of the administration 6) the grounds are really beautiful right beside the Assomption River and offer a view of the small falls and the water 7) we reserved a ''Comfort Room with Two Queen Beds'' and we were upgraded to a ''Comfort Room with Two Queen Beds - River View'' 8) the check-in was possible 30 minutes earlier at 2:30 PM 9) the check-out was very efficient 10) the whole property was clean and appealing.

CanadaMy room 229 is just over the congres area and I eard bad noise, no shower telephone, bad pillow, bathroom really small, carpet on the floor, 1 elevator, 1 staircase (inconvenient) and no room at the ground floor, no open window (no fresh air). You can get a really better hotel for same budget.

CanadaThe bathroom was a little small. We gave our children a bath and it got hot super fast. The bathroom is also not equipped with a proper fan. It could use some revised plan in terms of space management.
The room was cozy. The staff was great as per usual. The price is good for the quality we get. I had previous experience with the restaurant/bar and it never failed to meet my expectation. Menu is a little different from other restaurants but it could use some local stuff as well (local beer, even regional)

CanadaThe room was large but the bath room was so small you knocked your knees everywhere. The bedding was kind of outdated and the sheets threadbare. The breakfast did not meet the standards of the price. It was very ordinary. For example, there were no Quebec berries , no choice of Quebec cheeses except some tiny little cubes of white and orange cheddar .

CanadaThe fact that they require a deposit of 150$ on top of a full payment of the room - unacceptable. Only one small not confortable chair in the room - lack of electric outlet to connect your laptop - iPhone etc…. at the desk - Wifii not very powerful takes time to load e-mails. The room was not set up for someone that has to work or even watch TV.
well situated
