Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The deadbolt on one of our rooms didn’t work. There was a Keurig coffee maker in one of the rooms and that was broken as well.
The location was great, and the rooms were comfortable and clean.

It wasn’t clean - dust everywhere especially behind the bed’s headboard, I doubt there was any sweeping or vacuuming done. The plumbing is noisy. The room is tiny, there’s only space for a bed, a table and a chair to put your suitcase on.
Location. It was a warm room with hot shower (I stayed in winter). The bed was not uncomfortable.

Staff barely spoke English..it’s a bilingual country and Quebec City is a major tourism destination.

Friendlier staff,
Room was goodk 'staff was less than helpful. The bath utb is dangerous, very slippery, no hold bars. If any one falls in that tub they will be hart.

The room was very small and showed a lot of signs of wear eg. chipped paint, receiver for TV remote broken etc. It would also be nice if the hotel gave more explicit directions to nearby parking (Halimande Street) for guest before they arrive.
The location was great as it is located right on Rue ST. Louis (Grand Allee). The room was clean .

Very small room. We did not know this . Breakfast is limited unless extra pay and not in hotel but very close by, otherwise good breakfast
Location is very good , close to nice tourist attractions. All can be done on foot and well accessible. 24hour parking nearby at walking distance

The room on the upper floor was very very small. We travelled with 2 backpacks and even didn’t had place to put them on the floor.

The reservation says the breakfast is included, however, that's not entirely true. The breakfast is served in a restaurant a few meters from the hotel that is owned by the same owners of the hotel. Although we don't have to pay for breakfast, we are shamed by the waiter if we don't give gratuity as if we were paying full price for the breakfast. Thus, it's not the free breakfast you would expect in other hotels.

Room size.
Cute, charming little 'inn'. Has an old town vibe to it. Amazing location, right by everything of interest. Does not have an elevator so don't take any heavy baggage. Room was small but very cozy and perfect for a weekend stay.

Mattress and pillows were a bit uncomfortable… the room looks way smaller than the picture. The location is very good so for a couple of days (and the price), it makes it worth.

The space of the room was very small which can work for an intimate couple or single person but tight for two friends who dont share beds. We managed somehow to fit another mattress on the floor.

My room was in the 4th floor and there's no elevator and no one to help you with your luggage, so I had to take my luggage by myself for 3 floors.

The bathroom is too small.
The location is excellent, right in the tourist areas. The breakfast is wonderful, top quality of food and waitress service. One of the staff was very helpful, since we don’t speak French, she went out of her way to call a taxi for us in late evening for an early morning pickup. Thank you!

We had room #3 which was very small (it worked for the two of us....not much room with your luggage etc). Small winding stairs to get to our room (we were on the 2nd floor... no elevators which we were aware of.....no problem for us). We did have a issue as we had a late check in (after 10:00 p.m.) and had some confusion.....it was taken care of the next day !
Loved the building....it had character...loved it! Our room one wall had the old brick....the bed was very comfortable, large tv, updated bathroom. The breakfast that we got each morning (next door) was great and the the restaurant help was wonderful ! Great location ... you could walk all over Quebec Old Town!
