Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only real disappointment given how awesome was the rest of it, was the breakfast. Great for a very quick and uninteresting bite and to grab a coffee, but certainly not going to set you up for the morning.
The staff were brilliant, friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. The pool and hot tub were excellent. The room and bed extremely comfortable.

The pool was in repairs and not open. Breakfast could have more variety. But all in all a good experience.
Between Vancouver and Whistler, a good stop over. Quiet and clean.

The breakfast was not the best. It was fine for a quick snack but we needed to buy additional breakfast both mornings of our stay.

The breakfast was quite underwhelming. There were practically no hot foods; there was only cereal, fruit, bagels and muffins, etc. If we knew what would be served for breakfast, we probably would have planned to go elsewhere.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were upgraded and they gave us a late checkout. They also let us store our ski gear. The rooms were nice. The vending machines had great selection. The pool was lots of fun.

Beds were too soft. Busy breakfast room.Hard to find seating.
Pool was fun for kids but we all got rashes/red skinned from chlorine I think. Food-room was very busy/lack of seating but options were good. Room- beds were too soft, otherwise fine. Clean. Staff was very friendly.

More fresh fruit options for breakfast please.
Our room was a beautiful suite with a separate queen bed and ensuite from the rest of the hotel room. It provided an extra bathroom that was great to have with 5 people in the room! Staff were very friendly. Parking is included! Breakfast had a great selection and great hours. The waterslide was a big hit with the kids, adults found the pool a bit cool but the hot tub made up for it. I'd love to visit in the summer when they open the big doors to the outdoor area!

The room was very clean and up to date. The rooms are well soundproofed; I did not hear other guests in the hallways, adjoining rooms or outside.

The pillows. The only negative about The Sandman were the pillows. They made a comfy bed uncomfortable.
Everything about the Sandman was great. Check-in was easy, the room was roomy, and they even had a 15% discount at Backcountry Brewing around the corner for a terrific dinner. Great spot to stay going/coming from Whistler.

The breakfast at the hotel is very basic. No waffle or pancake machine, just precooked and you heat them in a toaster. No cooked eggs, bacon or sausage. The fruit choices were poor. Also, the hotel price was high for Squamish.
Nice room, clean and quiet. An isolated area so no traffic…quiet! No problem parking.

We would have liked a few more kitchen amenities and a kettle,mugs, cutlery tomake a cup of tea.
The breakfast was fantastic and it was agreat location for an overnighter for us.

I had hoped to park my car for a few days while on an excursion but was told that was not possible. I would have paid for parking if I had been offered it.
I was travelling with children, they loved the pool. Breakfast was very good.
