It's not a matter of disliking, it was a matter of payment. I made the reservation using a credit card but the owner did not accept credit cards after we checked in. He offered 2 other options which for us, required a trip to a local bank to withdraw cash as a method of payment.

The 2BR apartment is new and was nicely decorated. It provides everything one would need to enjoy the beautiful place and it was exceptionally clean. The bed comfort was excellent and provided a good night sleep. Everything met our expectations except for the long stairway going down to the suite. After having a hip replacement, the stairs made it more difficult to carry luggage. I don't recall the long stairs being mentioned in the description but it was doable with extra caution on my part. For others who do not have a disability, it may not be a problem. I would still recommend this place with a 10 rating because the kitchen provided everything a cook/chef would need to prepare meals & relax in comfort..

I love to sit outside but there was nowhere to accommodate that.....not the fault of the host by any means, just the layout of the property!

The suite was new, clean, and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and the linens were great quality! The llocation was convenient for us as we had to be in Okotoks most of the time but was still only 25 minutes from the airport. The extra touches of having salt, pepper, oil, coffee, bottled water , and even pop available on our arrival was appreciated! It is a little larger than it looks in the photos!

Nothing. To be fair, it’s a little on the outskirts but all necessities are close and all points of interest are easily accessible. This is a new developing area, it’s going to be unreal when finished. If you are looking to walk from your hotel to downtown, this may not be your spot but if you have a family, like the craziness of a big city in small doses or have a vehicle, this is a great spot!

My only hesitation on reviewing this property is that I don’t want it to be fully booked next time I come!! I’ll start with the customer service - Wow! I had an off day - my 7.5 hour drive took 11 hours, we left late, I missed a family supper, my son was tired and grouchy - bla bla but then google maps sent me to the wrong location which has never happened to me on bookings before so I assumed it was an error on the part of the owners and I wasn’t very sweet and understanding. Sir did not skip a beat, he sorted it, he stayed professional and when I apologized after he was more than understanding. THEN, we asked if we could stay a second night AND were late checking out. Not your ideal customers but both Mr. And Mrs were all smiles, very understanding, helped me with my bags… I can not express enough how GREAT they were. Kind, professional, understanding, friendly, helpful, went above and beyond… I would 100% go back based off that alone Next, I’ll talk value. Honestly, I was blowing my budget in Banff so I was looking for a cheap place. This one seemed nice and was the budget I wanted. But here’s the thing, we went to a hotel in Banff the next night that was WAY over my budget with a pool and views for days and my son wanted to go back to this place. Not only was it much (MUCH) cleaner, it was just a nice homey vibe. And we felt welcomed and appreciated -which was not what we got in Banff. How do you even put a value on that??!! But it had all the comforts of home, it’s decorated so nicely, it is as clean as a whistle (not a speck of dust anywhere). We honestly didn’t have the best time in Banff and if this place was available, we would have booked it for our last night and probably had a better trip. That says a lot because I LOVE the mountains and drive 8 hours at least once a year to see them. For perspective, I have air bnb’d from Jamaica to Bali, all over Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatchewan.

wow. this basement suite is smartly designed and very comfortably decorated. they’ve done a great job of making you feel at home. fully stocked and newly developed. really nice.
