Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaReception staff extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. Extremely small rooms and noisy. The property needs a refresh as it's very tired and the furnishings in the rooms are terrible.
Location was good and bed was comfortable however that was about it in favourable comments.

United KingdomThe bedroom needed a mirror. The combined bath/shower had a fixed shower door which meant you had to get into the bath to switch the shower on. There was no main light just lamps. There was only 1 comfortable chair in the room despite it being a double for 2 people. If you are sensitive to noise do not stay in room 108 - it is on the first floor directly above the bar and faces directly onto the street. The trams and road pass close by. We were able to open the windows during the day/evening but it didn’t feel safe/comfortable to leave open during the night. The person who checked us in wasn’t particularly friendly or welcoming. We were a bit later than planned (about midnight) due to flight delay but I had messaged to let them know so they did not think we were a no show and confirmed they had 24 hour reception. The person only spoke to get our name, give us our key and tell us our room number. They did not tell us where the lift was or how to get to the room so had to ask. None of the usual information about the hotel, how to access help/reception, wishing you a nice stay etc. I appreciate it was late and we got the minimum information but we felt like an inconvenience. However other staff we dealt with - on check out, when asking for a city map etc were helpful and friendly.
The location was excellent and the best thing about this hotel. The train station is just opposite across the bridge and you are handy for supermarkets, old town etc. The room had plenty of space (superior double), was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Daily room cleaning. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was powerful and hot. The air con was needed given the weather, although it wasn’t the best/strongest A/C it helped. Despite being directly next to the street the windows kept out most noise, it wasn’t quiet but you are in the middle of a city so this is to be expected. We did open the window during the day/evening to let fresh in, as we didn’t mind the noise. 12pm check out.

AustraliaThe room !! I paid extra for a river view room and we were put in an attic room on the 6th floor with a very small window to see the river from - nothing at all like the rooms when I made the selection. Half the room is taken up with a concrete sloping roof with dormer window so hitting your head is a regular occurrence when getting to the 2nd suitcase because that’s the only place it fits and if you want to make coffee you have to bend right over to get to the machine and I’ll guarantee you’ll hit your head making it !!! Don’t take a river view room on the 6th floor!
Its location is perfect for train travellers and for those wanting to explore old town and the river - lots of dining places in the area close by.

SingaporeThe only issue I had was the roof eating up a portion of my room which made it feel like I do not have enough space but apart from that I don't have any issues.
Although the room was small, which is expected for rooms in Zurich, it was very cosy and the bed itself was super comfortable. I was glad that the pillows were not flat like the usual pillows.

United KingdomBeing told that the twin room we booked 9 months ago wasn't available. We were then found a twin room with a balcony over looking the river. Sounded great and it was quite a nice room but but the blind was broke so couldnt go out on the balcony as couldnt raise the blind. Other than that a nice room but sticky floor by bed!!
All good really - see below.
