Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very strong cleaning detergent smell (which is better than a bad smell) but it was noticeable!
Standard room is much more simple than picture above. Easy location to get to/from. A little noisy at night and adjacent to “red light district” of Geneva. Amazing ethnic restaurants can walk to in cute neighborhood!

For the price, I thought that breakfast would be included and the food that was on the buffet was not high quality.

It looks much better in the pictures, there was a weird smell in the common areas.
Cheap and ok location. For what it is, it was clean enough and generally ok. The staff was very helpful and polite.

The proximity to a red light area approximately 50m along the road.
It is not far from the railway station. There was no traffic noise. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There was a kettle in the room. The man on reception gave me directions to a nice restaurant nearby.

The toilet separated from the bathroom (with the sink and shower) was not optimal. The ventilating system was connected to the lights in the main room, not to the lights in the bathroom, and it stopped after too much time But the main problem was the lack of noise insulation, you could hear the neighbours as if they were in your apartment.
The beds were comfortable, the staff was nice and the buffet breakfast was tasty - although not too varied, it was mainly composed of cold food.

The tidiness level of the rooms could have been improved on. I found some dust on the floor. This is my first time in a three star property so maybe my expectations were abit high
I liked the service from the staff members, very polite and friendly staff- supportive as well. I also liked the fact that the room was quiet and suitable to work

Breakfast: OK. But hot items (sausages) are finished quite early and not replenished. Location: This is not a criticism, but it would be useful to know that the hotel is located a block away from the red light district.
Location: Very close to main streets and just a couple of blocks from the lake. But also very close to the red light district. Room: Rooms and beds rather small. OK for people traveling alone.

Was located in an area where there’s quite a bit of ‘adult nightlife’ so wouldn’t recommend it for solo female travellers. Lots of noise from revellers and general ‘antics’ going on up & down the street. This goes on all night. So if you don’t need the window to be open then you probably will sleep through most of it.
Fairly central, walkable to most places. Great for getting to/ from the station. One of the cheaper hotels in the central district.

There was a TV but I believe it was not working; would have been nice to have it turned on as a background sound. Also, during my stay, there was a construction just outside and my window pane was broken so the slight opening made the sound leaked in. It is not the hotel's fault (the construction I mean) but it did impacted my rest times.
The hotel was located at a good location. It is very near to the train station and it was convenient to get around. The hotel staffs were super helpful and I truly appreciated them assisting me in all the ways I required (such as borrowing their own umbrella, printing my Geneva ticket for me for free). The room was small but it was comfortable enough to rest.
