Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel is on a bay protected from open-water waves by a series of islands off-shore, like Isla Cholon, so you don't have a classic sandy beach like you'll find on a seaside resort facing the open ocean. The resort imported sand and has two artificial sand beaches for customers, so that is nice, but the natural seashore is mangroves and there is a lot of seagrass off-shore and no coral. We expected to go snorkeling over coral and that's not possible unless you hire a boat to take you out to the Islas del Rosario. Most disappointingly, right across the bay a couple thousand meters away is a day-trippers party resort on Isla Cholon that fills with boats and partygoers every morning by 11:00 AM blasting music and racing jet skis around the bay all day until about 4:00 PM, ruining what would otherwise be a peaceful, tranquil resort. Fortunately, it's lovely and quiet every evening and morning since apparently no one stays overnight at that party place. We were quite disappointed in the original room we were assigned to. It was in an older building on the south side of the resort called Casa Palma. We had a ground floor room with doors and windows badly in need of renovation, no closet or dresser, no place to hang clothes, a hard bed, dark interior, etc. A portion of the room, including the bathroom, had openings with no glass, only screens, so it got hot and humid making it difficult to control the climate throughout the room. We complained and they moved us on our second day to a much better room in a newer 3-story building on the north side of the resort. No complaints about that room.
Well-equipped resort in an out-of-the-way location. It is situated on the water with abundant beach chairs, kayaks, and paddleboards. There is a bar and large two-story restaurant with an extensive menu. The food is incredible! But you must be patient. It often took 30-45 minutes for a meal to come after ordering. But everything is prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients so it is worth waiting for. Excellent buffet breakfast included in the room price. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

United States of AmericaComing from an American, I realize how ridiculous this may come across.. but some simpler menu options. I know at some points I was certainly craving a simple sandwich with some french fries. Even though fries weren't on the menu, I was able to request some. There isn't anything outside of the hotel, unless you take a tour to go to the town center which is about a 45 minute drive away. If you're taking a shuttle to the airport, be prepared for a long drive and unpaved roads. We were fortunate to have left at 3am, so we didn't experience the hustle bustle traffic rush of Cartagena. Additionally, the salesman that come and nag you from the party beach across the way (which I would not recommend visiting). Great for a short stay of 3-4 days, but might get a little boring after that.
The air conditioning. If you're budget traveling and coming from Cartagena or the other islands, youll understand the extent to which we appreciated the air conditioning and the rare feeling of being a little chilly. The air conditioning was consistent and functioning. The food was also delicious and the staff were great. We had one server in particular that was a pleasure to be around. He was attentive, gave great recommendations and even practiced my boyfriends Spanish a little. Someone was always around if you needed something or had a question. The free breakfast included was yummy and lunch could be served on the beach. The beach itself was small but beautiful and well furnished. Comfortable and shady hammocks, lounge chairs, etc. The water was beautiful.

SwitzerlandIt is extremely expensive for Colombian standards. It’s basically european prices! One national beer = €4, main courses = €45… it’s true the food is good, but I found it way over priced, and since there is nothing else around, you’re forced to eat there. Perhaps a trivial detail but there is no TV in the rooms. As there is nowhere around to go or to do at night, and there were too many mosquitoes, sometimes we just wanted to go to the room. And the sea bottom has lots of seaweeds, it was not nice to walk over it.
It’s a very relaxing atmosphere, with 2 private beaches, very clean, plenty of sun-beds and free of crowds and vendors. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, comfy beds, modern A/C keeping the perfect temperature and completely silent. Nice shower room and amenities. The restaurant was incredible, huge menu with traditional Colombian dishes, and the service all around the hotel was flawless. The hosts, waiters, housekeepers, everybody was very kind and welcoming

United States of AmericaThey had construction or maintenance that happened during our stay that caused a little inconvenience and the transportation provided by the hotel is pricey. They dont offer a boat unless they have 10 people. Finding a driver or renting a car is a better option at a much lower price.
The property and staff were great. The place looked incredible, especially at night.

United KingdomIt’s very noisy in the middle of the day with jet skis and music coming from across the water at Cholon island - not quite the tranquil days by the beach we were expecting which was a shame. However first thing in the morning (until 10am ish) and then in the afternoon around 4:30pm it quietened down, There was also some work going on at the property which wasn’t great but didn’t get in the way too much.
The property itself is very nice. The rooms felt really modern, lovely bathrooms and good amenities. The beach and bar were great and the staff very accommodating and the food at the hotel was delicious with loads of options to choose from. We did a couple of activities through the hotel and all were great (especially the snorkelling one!). To top it off we had one of the best massages by the beach - highly recommend!

United KingdomDogs barking over the other side of road at night was terrible. When we asked for it to be sorted we had a good night sleep but should have asked on night 1!! Restaurant staff lovely but kept forgetting to bring stuff we ordered, not a major issue but a bit embarrassing to keep asking them. Beach lovely, sea not as turquoise as the actual islands opposite - a bit more like a lagoon.
Lovely vibe on the edge of the peninsula. Really friendly and helpful staff. Kayaks and Paddle board available for no charge on the beach which was great as islands really easy to paddle to. Food and drink were great but service could be a bit more reliable.
