Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IcelandNot enough sun beds by the pool. Considering the amount of rooms, there need to be more sun beds. Always when we were at the pool, all the sun beds were taken. Not so nice to always have to sit in the bar area when the kids were playing in the pool. The breakfast was fine but dinner in the restaurant not so great. We only ate there once because the dinner was not good. Also very limited selection.
This was a nice stay. Spacious room, a good shower, lovely surroundings. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location, good value for money. I'd recommend staying here. Close to the waterfall and La Fortuna.

United KingdomTiles missing in pool area were sharp and my son cut his foot on them. Needs fixing. Quite far from main town, you would neee a car or rely on taxis.
Amazing pools and hot tubs. Beautiful gardens and a trail down to a waterfall and streak very pretty. Very close to la Fortuna waterfall. Lots of birds around property. Rooms nicely decorated and good aircon. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Cleaners also excellent leaving towels in artistic shapes and very very clean!

BrazilBecause we were sick and had to cancel our tours, we stayed a lot in bed. So I can say that internet didnt work too well from the bed, had to go to the balcony in order for it to work. Also, I like warm showers but omg was it boiling!! I didnt find a way of making the temperature lower, maybe there was.
We loved the property, very nice, with a lot of green around and maybe a Volcano view (which we didnt have because it was cloudy during our whole stay). Breakfast was great, a buffet with lots of options, quite rare since almost all stays we had in Costa Rica it was a menu with options to choose from and not all you can eat. The warm pools looked very cozy even though we didnt use them we would definitely do it if we had the chance. Unfortunately we got food poisoning before arriving to the hotel so we ordered some soup at the restaurant that the chef prepared by charging same price of a chicken salad. They took it to our room, that was great.

HungaryNothing to complain about, we would have been happy to stay longer. Location might be convenient for La Fortuna Waterfall but the location along route 142 (Kalambu, Paraiso, Tabacon, etc) was better in my opinion.
Casa Luna Hotel & Spa is a lovely place to stay. The gardens are beautiful, many many many flowers and some birds, there is a short trail around the hotel in the "jungle" and a lot of ponds with frogs. The rooms are quiet, very clean, with extremely comfy beds, clean bathroom. The restaurant was really good (we had dinner; tried the steak, wow ! and breakfast: wide choice, with eggs prepared fresh). There are some pools, the hot water pools are really private for 2-4 people (they are not with "thermal" water of the area, but heated, but still great). It was our first hotel after 1.5 weeks in Costa Rica where we were greeted with welcome drink, nice, thank you ! AirCon was efficient. They offer a lot of tours also.

NetherlandsThe pool didn't get warm easily. We had to ask someone to come. The outside pools were less pretty than the pictures.
The private bathtub in the room was nice. Minibar great. Everything was clean. The restaurant connected to the hotel is really good. Easy because it's so close. Close to the waterfall

United KingdomMy partner and I booked a 1 hour massage (Casa Luna’s unique version) and we were very disappointed. It was not worth £50 each (including a 15% discount). The massage consisted of slow up and down movements. It was basically a gentle rub. Even though I had written on the form where I would like focusing on, this was not done. Instead, I had to mention it during the massage, so didn’t feel totally relaxed. Wasn’t worth the money.
The layout of the hotel was great! Location was brilliant, but you would need to take a taxi to go into the town centre. The rooms were very spacious and the view of the Arenal volcano from the balcony was amazing! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great! There is a small pool on site.

SwitzerlandRooms are spacious, but lacking shelves and tables, the space can be organized a bit better, but it does not diminish the value for money. It is located outside of La Fortuna, so you need to use taxis to go anywhere.

CanadaCasa Luna is a nice hotel. The pool area was really nice but the pool was too cold to get into except on really hot days Grounds are beautiful. Beds were really comfortable but rooms are very basic and small. There is very limited space for storing anything. If someone was talking outside you could hear it clearly in the room. Our room was on the end and for the most part quiet. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was great. Over all I liked Casa Luna but if I was going for more than a couple of days would look for more space.

United KingdomWe visited as part of our honeymoon and had the best time ever. The facilities are great, you feel so secluded with beautiful nature around you, great hot tubs and confortable rooms. The staff were lovely - had organised a surprise for us in the room, helped us with a small issue with our rental car. We had a massage at the SPA, which was amazing. Honestly couldn’t recommend it more - Incredible value for money!
