Bathroom smelled horrible

Doors have very lightweight locks, almost like the kind you typically find on a bathroom door. Didn't feel very safe. The downstairs lobby door was open 24/7 without any apparent security.

Clean room, decent shower. Working A/C Our refrigerator was broken but they promptly replaced it for us with a working unit.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book the tours and shuttle busses and provided all the information we needed.

I wish breakfast started a little earlier, anticipating the need for visitors to get up earlier and visit the reserves. Other than that, everything was great, although there were ants in the room. They didn't bother us though.

While breakfast was provided, we never took advantage of it because it was only 2 hours and we got up early both days to explore the cloud forest. The rooms and staff were great! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cheap place to stay near Monteverde.

The rooms are incredibly noisy. You can hear your neighbors talk and the wind howling at night. So bring earplugs. Also, the room wasn't quite level, so it felt like sleeping on a hill, and it took a night to get used to.

The receptionists are very helpful, also booking tours without additional charge. The location is quite central. The rooms are very clean. The beds are good as well. A/C kept the room dry and at a nice temperature. It can get chilly at night in monteverde.

No A/C and no screens on windows to keep bugs out. Temperature was comfortable but did have some mosquitos.Not the properties fault, but the Christmas parade was happening during our stay and we heard marching bands much longer than we cared to.

Great location to walk into Santa Elena for dinner. The balcony by the Restaurant/Bar of the hotel was a great place for sunset watching. Staff was friendly and gave good recommendations for dinner. Breakfast was tasty, cooked to order.

Noise from the highway. and we could only use the A/C if we payed more.??

Room was basic, for being one of the superior rooms. Shower was nice. Very clean, nice deck, but faced the noisy highway. Breakfast was good and filling. Staff was very nice.

It’s loud. You’ll be surprised how much traffic goes thru Monteverde at night. Rooms don’t have AC and while you may not need it, there are some nights were it was hot. Having AC would also help with noise as you could close the windows. Some rooms need upkeep.

Very close to town. You can easily walk to all of it. Staff was excellent.

The room was extremely hot when we arrived. The unit does not have an AC unit and only has some options for vents on the windows in the bathroom and the living areas. The vents in the central area are covered by curtains at night to keep privacy so there was not much airflow. I would suggest lowering the curtains to allow for my airflow into the area for a better sleep.

The room was very clean and the hotel had 4 options for breakfast. The bar area was nice and they had special happy hour prices.

There was no AC and the room was very hot. The ceiling fan was broken but they found us a floor fan.

Location was great as it’s easy to get to everything. The breakfast was fabulous. Service was amazing. Views from the breakfast room were fabulous!! Our room had a cute patio area. There were some hidden areas at the hotel that were worth exploring like the billiard room and mural.

We were fearful of the big dogs on the premises especially at the reception area and on the stairs to the dining area.

Very accessible to the downtown area. I was able to attend church, visit a variety of restaurants, supermarket and shopping.
