Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAs a solo female traveler (don’t let user name confuse you), I would’ve liked a dead bolt or other secondary lock on the door that I could lock from the inside instead of just a coded entry lock, but felt hotel was quite safe overall. Nearest subway stop from airport at Malostranska station is at bottom of the hill. Be prepared to tote your suitcase up hill over uneven cobblestones. Did I mention it’s uphill.
Very nice room, clean, updated, friendly reception staff, great breakfast, conveniently located near Prague Castle and St. Vitus.

United KingdomNot much to complain about, to be honest!
The stay was amazing from start to finish. I arrived before my actual check-in time and the receptionist was super kind allowing me to leave my backpack at the reception while I went for lunch and browsing. When I came back she explained in detail how to navigate the hotel, how to get to the room and where to get my breakfast. The room was spacious and bright, also the hotel wasn't too big which meant that it wasn't too crowded and the space was overall quiet. Breakfast was great, every day from 7:30am until 10am they served a variety of continental options: fruit, yoghurts, pudding, bread of different types, jams, butter, cheese, meat, crepes, eggs, other warm options, coffees and juices. There was so much and it was always so good!

IrelandNo shelf in bathroom. Only shower gel and hand soap provided. No shampoo shower caps etc. No bin that I could see in room. One provided in bathroom only. Would have liked gluten free bread at breakfast, rye vitas provided Would also have liked bacon at breakfast. Sausage and scrambled egg available. We stayed on 4th floor but lift only went to 3rd floor. When going through door to access stairs to 4th floor there were few steps which I felt could easily be missed at night. A sign to pre warn people might help avoid an accident. I did enjoy my 2 night stay and hotel was very clean. All food at breakfast was fresh and enjoyable Lovely and quiet at night. Would recommend but bear in mind it is up steep hill which will not suit someone with mobility issues
Very large spacious room. Great idea to have code to access room and hotel door at night. No worrying about losing key. Nice hot shower Nice selection at breakfast but not huge variety Very pleasant staff at reception. Never saw any staff in breakfast room.

United KingdomAll tiny things, but we would have liked: a second pillow each; a shelf or somewhere in the bathroom other than the basin to put our washbags; nicer coffee at breakfast. The shower was good, but the temperature was a bit unstable – if you choose an old, historic building, you can't expect perfect plumbing, though. There was no fridge, but the ledge between the inner and outer window was the perfect place to store our milk. It may be that they provide a fridge in summer.
The location on Nerudova just below the castle and a short walk down to the Charles Bridge is wonderful: Malá Strana is a beautiful area and its many green spaces must be lovely in summer (not so much when it's minus 2). I would definitely stay on this side of the river again. It's also an easy walk from two spectacularly good restaurants, Kuchyň by the castle and the Blue Duckling (U Modré Kachničky) at Nebovidská 6. Our queen deluxe room facing the street was HUGE (as well as a four-poster bed it had a separate little room with a single bed, which we weren't expecting) and characterful with its wooden floor and painted wooden ceiling (see photo). There was plenty of cupboard space to put away clothes, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom, which was a good distance from the bedroom, had a window. It was snowing the weekend we were there, so we had both the inner and outer windows shut. As a result, it was very quiet and the room was very warm (too warm for our liking: we turned the thermostat down). Breakfast was fine, and there was a big choice so long as you weren't the last to come down. We didn't arrive until quite late and let ourselves in with the two codes the hotel sent me on the day, which worked perfectly. A little day down the road on the other side is a gingerbread shop that is open from 10 till late and sells the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Photos: the bed; the ceiling; the view from our window; a view up the street; the gingerbread shop; the hot chocolate.

HungaryThe old style interior and draperies of the room which we liked on the photos seemed worn out in reality and did not feel very clean. There was no phone in the room to contact the reception directly.
The hotel was in a great location, close to the castle, in fact on the main street leading up to it. The room was spacious, we had a view over the very nice, old buildings in the surroundings. We could turn on the heating, whenever needed. The breakfast was OK, and the staff was kindly responding to all of our requests (they mentioned in advance that they do not provide gluten free bakery products, so I was prepared).

Excellent location right beside the Castle. Really handy to everything in the old town. We didn't have to get a taxi or a bus to go anywhere even though we enjoyed all the famous sites. Lovely building. Staff were great - very helpful. The breakfast was lovely too. Fabulous 3-hour walking tour; Fabulous night dinner cruise; wonderful Mozart Dinner concert; outstanding Medieval night. Interesting history;. We definitely will be back!
