Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The property doesn't have a lift, but it's only two stories.
Breakfast was excellent. Location was in the town center.

The stairs are a bit old, so a bit noisy at night when there are people walking.
The freshly made omelet for breakfast is good. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is on a quiet street and has an electric charging station right in front.

The pillows were too soft for me Sound insulation was not very good, could hear noises from other rooms
The staffs are friendly. I arrived quite late in the night, so they contacted on the phone before my arrival to be sure that I had all the information to get the keys.

Unfortunately there is no restaurant in the hotel, however there are more then enough places to eat closeby
The staff was amazing. Super nice and very helpful!!!!!!!!!!! Breakfast was good, bread, cereal(s), fruit, yoghurt and fresh brewed coffee/ tea!

The walls are a little thin but the other guests are very respectful. I’d come back! It’s not bad.
Incredibly clean and well run property! A very traditional and comforting property with a bed and breakfast feel. Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating. The food and coffee are excellent! The beds are super comfortable.

Small family run, nice people, clean, lovely breakfast, good coffee. Parking was easy even though their normal lot was blocked off.

Some of the facilities could be updated, but all in all a great stay.
Very friendly staff, great location, fair price. The rooms were quiet and easily accommodated my family. I would recommend for traveling with kids!

Our room seemed a little outdated and in need of a remodel. The shower enclosure was old and the doors were misaligned so they left a gap at the bottom when closed resulting in us needing to be extra conscientious when showering. Also we found cobwebs in the bathroom and above the wardrobe, but this wouldn’t stop us staying there again.
The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond when we hadn’t booked breakfast and didn’t realise the restaurant was closed but they still served us

We got a double bed and the bed was very uncomfortable. When I sat on the bed I fell right into it becasue the mattress was well worn so my back hurt most of the night. Neither of us slept very well.
The breakfast was quite nice. The room is beautiful and the food was great. The service was great as well. Our room was large and had what we needed. The room had a nice strong fan which was necessary on a hot night. We loved how close the hotel was to town and that their was a parking lot accross the street.

the room was ice cold when we arrived, she put the heater on for us but at midnight I think it went off by itself so the room stayed cold
they had a fantastic breakfast area with a nice assortment of breads etc.

The breakfast was very basic, and the lack of facilites due to staff shortages was a bit of a pain. The nearest restaurant was half a mile away, and thats if they were open.
The hotel was in a quiet area and parking was avalaible, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Housekeeping entered our room while we were still sleeping and woke us! She should have checked if we were there either by knocking first or checking if our key had been turned in! 😳
Greeted very warmly on a cold and snowy evening just minutes before closing time! Quickly checked in and inside our room and out of the blizzard! Slept well and had a nice breakfast in the atrium. Reminders of many good memories of the times we lived in the area and would choose Goldingers for brunch!
