Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Checked in spontaneously. Reception is occupied 24/7. one can pay cash. Very comfortable. Directly located at the south of munich Bahnhof. Definitely the best price at the moment

need to pay everyday 1€ for rent lock and my suitcase bigger than the locker i think that everyone in the hostel will be 18-35 but had a lot of children in the hostel

Sounds from the next room were clearly heard after 10 pm so it wasn’t that good soundproofing in between rooms. Because of the late check in there was a guest entering our room in the middle of the night so it was hard to sleep when this person messed around in the room.
Clean and comfortable! Lockers to store luggage before check in and after check out.

They have lockers but the locker system doesnt work with Cable type locks (bring a normal lock if you dont want to rent one) the bunk beds are small and very low, you can't even sit on your bed, because the top bed hits your head and I'm not even a tall person, there is no privacy between the beds either. it would be nice to have some kind of light so as not to disturb the others if you arrive too late. but for sleeping they are comfortable and clean. I got a cheap room so guess i can't complain much.
great location, near the hauptbahnof, walking distance of parks and restaurants. bathrooms clean and inside the room, not noisy.

The bed, it is not very comfortable at all. We were 5 , and every one of us had back pain the next day morning because of the bed.

A nice hotel with cheap options if you need a place to rest for a few hours, which was exactly what I was looking for. Sleeping in a ten-bed room might take some getting used to, but when I arrived the facilities were freshly cleaned and everything else was very clean as well. They offer a towel and a padlock for rent, which also was convenient.

A lot of construction work going on right now. The lock for the lockers require a deposit plus a 1€/night charge
Very close to the station so it’s very convenient. The room had its own bathroom so it’s only a few people sharing instead of a whole floor

We had booked an entire 4 bunk room for our family of 4. After a day out in Munich we returned to find out locked room has the window open. Concerned we spoke with reception and they explained that housekeeping had come through. We later found that house keeping had taken our bathmat but not replaced.
The location was fantastic, right adjacent to the main train station. Considering it was a hostel, we found it relatively quiet at night.

Everything was fine, but it's a hostel used primarily by migrants not tourists. I wouldn't stay again. The area is also not great. If you're a tourist choose a different option.

There are no curtains on beds, so basically no privacy. There are no shelves/lockers in the room where you can put your bag. Also, there was a weird smell in the room, if you have allergies I recommend taking pills with you.
The room had two toilets, which were separate from the shower. It was also clean. The position of the hostel is great, very close to the centre and train station - walking distance to both. On the weekends, the checkout is later - not until 10am as weekdays but until 11!
