Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsAlthough the area has the Gudiberg piste, it isn't connected with the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Classic ski area. We found taxis and the number 2 bus quite useful to get around the resort. Especially since Garmisch-Partenkirchen already has an slightly antiquated ski transport system in the form of the Alpspitzbahn. More about that in another review. Lastly good to remember: Olympiahaus has guests all year round, and does not cater to skiers exclusively. For example, the hotel does not have a boot room; you take your boots to your room and your skis stay in the basement. It didn't bother us, since I am happy to keep my boots with me.
The History of Olympiahaus is very interesting, as the place for the opening ceremony of the 1936 Winter Olympics, the hotel is full of classic photos from the event. It is also right inside the ski-stadium, at the bottom of both the Worldcup nighttime Slalom venue (Gudiberg) and the New Year's day ski jump. Everybody at Olympiahaus has been very friendly and tried to make our stay as nice as possible. Food is a mix of traditional and vegetarian options. The house wine was perfectly drinkable, even for wine snobs. Rooms were, well, roomy and clean. The number 2 bus stops right in front of the skistadium and brings you all the way to Alpspitzbahn Station, at the bottom of the Super-G Kandahar piste.

IrelandThe hotel is kinda creepy. Especially at night. The old furniture is still there, and the creeking of the wood makes an eerie feel.
Its location is accessible to bus, parks, and activities. The view of the mountain is nice.

LatviaA bit confusing parking place in front of hotel, all signs are just in German.
Awesome hotel with a cool terrace and a view to the ski jumping arena. Rooms are spacious and clean. We arrived after working hours, and we got our keys in an envelope attached to the entrance door, very convenient. It is very close to a cool wonder of nature - Partnachklamm - a must visit place.

GermanyWe had an excellent view from our room!! The staff was super flexible with our check-in and check-out hours which we appreciated a lot. The location was perfect - you could start your hike to the Partnachklamm and surrounding areas from there and the Sommerrodelbahn was right next to it as well. City Center was only a short drive away (could have even walked there). We booked a room with a shared bathroom, but ended up getting our own bathroom (just not in the room).

AustraliaLovely style of hotel, particularly liked the paintings in the hall and old fashioned furniture. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was good value. The cakes were also very nice, and it was interesting having the 1936 Olympic stands and ski jump ramps outside the back door.

United States of AmericaThe pillows were super squishy, but that's just personal preference. If you're prudish, you could say that having to leave your room to access the shower and toilet was something not to like. But I did not have a problem with it, it reminded me of hostels I'd stay at during my college days (which is a good thing)
I liked that you could go downstairs and have a really good traditional meal and beer. It was also right next to a bus stop, and a short hike to the partnachklamm. The stay came with a "Gästekarte" that we used to get a small discount on local attractions, it was a good surprise. The staff was really nice and accommodating, and there was free parking on premises (which is hard to find in tourist towns).
