United States of AmericaSo, I am not a buffet person. I get nauseated by all the food and people hovering around. Although the breakfast buffet was pretty good (for a buffet), the lunch buffet was stressful. We got snacks at the food truck and took them to the beach. There are tiny mosquitoes, no screens on the sliders. So bring bug spray or pay an exorbitant amount at the shop. Sunscreen is $40, a bag of chips $12 (and so on). Nothing was a big problem really.
This place was excellent for the money I paid. The beach is practically perfect. The sea... Perfect. The pool is kind of a scene, particularly in the later afternoon. Lots of partying. But there are so many places to hang out if you want quiet. I think there was a whole other pool. The food was good. Not amazing but very good. There are lots of choices. Our room was large and very pleasant. Sort of modern. Lovely bathroom. The restaurants were all very enjoyable. The staff were lovely. The grounds are kept beautifully. The coffee shop is also a pleasant surprise. It's a really massive resort and we walked a ton which we liked, but there's also a shuttle. Lots of birds and a few kitties. We enjoyed them! Peacocks.sound like dying children but you get used to it. Lol

I personally would not recommend this resort because it’s impossible to be comfortable in a warm room. Huge language barrier with at least 80% of the staff

CanadaThe food was not great. Some of the restaurants were slightly better but overall needs work. The staff were mostly great in the restaurants and throughout grounds but some bartenders were rude and made you feel unwelcome. Cleaning staff stood outside our room for hours every day and evening chatting and talking on walkie talkies disturbing sleep at times.
The location and beaches were stunning. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The Platinum facilities were great and restaurants beautiful. The wildlife walking around the grounds were also amazing. Definitely worth the money to upgrade to Platinum as the other beach and facilities always seemed crowded.

BrazilRoom maintenance could have been better as some things werer broken: toilet seat, paper holder, bathroom door lock. There are lots of drinks everywhere and everytime, but it lacks some snacks in between meal times, specially at the pool and beach areas. The food trucks on the beach would not start serving food until 11:30 or so and by the pools you can only get drinks for most of the time.
Room was very nice, very quiet, with a confortable bed and very spacious. The bathroom is also very large with two sinks, bathtub, separate toilet and huge shower area. Food was very good with plenty of restaurants to choose from and we were able to make all the reservations we wanted. Beach was perfect every day during our stay, no seaweed at all, water temperature was excellent.

GermanyMost of the staff don’t speak/understand basic English and 90% of the time drinks or food orders were wrong or missing items. Staff then grumpy as they don’t understand. Too many staff hanging around and service very slow, needs better management and training. Lack of quality regular evening entertainment. A band would play in the lobby bar but they were far too loud and you couldn’t chat. Should be ‘in the background’ no diet/sugar free drinks in minibar, no ginger ale/beer in bars.
Great location on a beautiful beach. Lots of food options. Platinum rooms are spacious.

United States of AmericaFood restaurant was very cheap quality as far as sea food, fish and steaks. Don’t go to the 24/7 pub staff pretends to be always busy and the food comes out cold and seems like they just threw it on the basket, dry chicken wings and a chicken sandwich that has no chicken on it. Staff was not very nice, I felt like I was bothering them every time I asked for something and most men were giving me and my mom nasty looks during our whole stay. I was never given a towel card so I never got any towels to use at the pool and the beach, the solution they gave me was to go to the reception (which is on the other side of the property) to get one, knowing that I was at the beach, already wet and sandy, it would just be very uncomfortable going all the way there and they knew that. Making reservations for the restaurants was a headache!! The app is very slow and the wifi even if you pay is slow, which made me loose my reservation window and when I found help the lady said all the restaurants were fully booked which made no sense in such a short period of time.
Very clean, nice views good drinks. Liked the design of the rooms.

United States of America1st day room was cleaned and no towels were left after call several time to request new towels we finally got them 2 hours later also the cleaning of room was not very good the bathroom counter was never wiped down our entire stay and i used the coffee machine and both times i had to clean it the next day which tells me no even checks to see if it was used. Also they do not let book restaurants all at once you can only book one restaurant per day and no-one told us that so we wound up eating buffet two nights because were too late to get reservations at any of the restaurant's

RomaniaThe food does get repetitive after a while but there is always something to choose from. The quality of drinks is rather disappointing, the only thing we did enjoy was the champagne. The restaurants do get crowded, especially the one on the beach for lunch. However, this did not affect our stay in any way as the beach and the gardens are just incredible. Thank you to the lovely staff from the main restaurant, Ingrit, Kennedy, Gregorio, Iliany, Wendy and Darlin who were always attentive and had a big smile on their faces.
The beach is probably the nicest in the Bavaro area, wide and very well kept. We walked along the coast and the Grand Bavaro Princess beach cannot be compared to any other in the area, it is fantastic!! The gardens of the hotel are impeccable! The palm trees and green areas are absolutely stunning, the gardeners are doing such a wonderful job! The birds roaming around are such a sweet touch to the exotic feel of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean.
