Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFelt bit isolated from mainland. The place was bit quite, not that many guests. Travel desk services - could be better. Felt slightly over priced. The rooms were not well maintained- when entered the room it was very hot and felt lack of fresh air. Toilet in the room was not functioning properly. The sink was not draining, water was accumulating. hence, had to use the bath to brush and clean face. There were no water bottles provided in the room, despite saying it’s half board.
Good location, beautiful architecture.

United Kingdom- Swimming pool open until 6pm only. Same with the gym. - Not all staff speak English. - Staff didn’t help carry the bags from and to room. - Rooms require renovations and some of the flushes in the toilet were broken.
The location is great, love free boats 24/7 and view of the Nile. Nice breakfast. Not many vegetarian options during dinner.

Canadait’s located in an island so you need a boat to get to the hotel as there aren’t any bridges. Not really a problem with that but I just didn’t know so I wasn’t prepared for that. Tip is usually expected from the operator.
very nice hotel with a great view. Friendly staff.

IrelandThe hotel is on the island and while that was lovely the boot is not as frequent as it could be. There is no problem when you book a trip but it was exceptionally hot when we were there so waiting around in the heat was a struggle @ 40 degrees. The menu was limited with small choices.
The staff were exceptional they were so accommodating and friendly. The waiters , reception and house keeping staff were great. The were attentive but not overpowering in any way. Even the staff in the Bazzar were fun.. The hotel was exceptionally quiet. Hossan was such a help we had book 2 nile cruises with Viator that were bothv ancelled the morning of the trips but he managed to book us a cruise when we had given up hope. Truly helped save our trip.

Especially the help of their tourist consultant will be remembered, he is offering the best prices for daytrip destinations like Abu Simbel.

United Arab EmiratesFood was not up to expectations. Booking.com sent a location that wasn't correct(the location received was the hotels location, not the boat Dock, hence we drove around for hours till 3 am ). The telephone number forwarded with the booking was wrong as well. We kept calling it and nobody answered. Eventually we found the docks by chance. WiFi was terrible. This hotel is definitely not a five stars hotel
Location, staff very friendly. Pool was exceptional and kids enjoyed it very much.

United KingdomWhile I thought the hotel had been completely refurbished, I found that some of the decor was in need of updating. The staff were all very nice people, HOWEVER the desk staff took an inordinately long time to sort out my group booking and this time took away from our excursion to Philae. Perhaps some more training would beneficial, as computerised bookings should be straightforward.
This is really such a beautiful location on Isis Island, with acres of gardens surrounded by the Nile. The hotel is large and impressive with a spacious open foyer area. The restaurant buffet is very nice, and there is a cafe and other areas to eat. The cafe terrace has stunning views.
