Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe building is older, as are all the buildings in this area of Sevilla, so thin walls, and the wifi wasn't perfect.

United KingdomWe liked everything about the hotel, although it was expensive as it was Semana Santa week.
We liked everything about Hotel Abanico. We had noticed this hotel on a previous visit and so knew that we would be very pleased to stay there and it met our expectations. The hotel has a beautiful, traditional patio as their reception area. The staff were very helpful, particularly one man who told us that a procession would be going right past the hotel at a certain time, and it did.

AustraliaStepping out of the front door is risky as there’s not much room between the opening doors and the very busy road: taxis, cars, horses and carriages, bikes, scooters etc.
It’s just as pictured here- the beautiful entry lobby is a lovely place to relax. The breakfasts were very good and all day access to the coffee machine was great. Our room was nice and quiet and had a lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t go to the annual festia but Sevilla was very lively and vibrant.

Czech Republic- - little bit overpriced probably because Feria de Abril - the breakfast had no much variety and some products (mainly fruits) were gone early in the morning

Beautiful hotel. Stunning area to chill in. Good location. Breakfast in the beautifully tiled breakfast room was perfect. They also found me a kettle, and as the author of 'I hope there's a kettle in my room' I was very happy.

United KingdomNot many negative points other than, possible kettle in room with coffee/tea facilities. Although free coffee/ tea available after 11am, I like a coffee when I wake up and I wouldn’t normally have breakfast in hotel.
Authentic Spanish feel , the location was excellent right in the centre of the old town, close to all bars, restaurants and easily within walking distance to many of the attractions

United KingdomIf there were coffee making facilities in the room that would be a nice touch, but didn’t distract from everything else. The entrance to the hotel steps right onto the smallest pavement I’ve ever walked on so, it’s just a case of being careful when you step out of the hotel! Lots of streets are like this in Seville so no fault at all of the hotel.
A hidden gem. Perfectly located no more that 20 minutes in foot to all attractions. Friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Added bonus of complimentary coffee and orange wine in the afternoons and evening.

United KingdomThere was quite an echo, but that's the nature of the centre courtyard.
The location was perfect, very central. All staff were friendly with limited English, but extremely helpful. We loved the varied breakfast, gluten free section and the free coffee shop during the day, it was really sociable to meet other guests. The room had everything you might need for a weekend break, there was a lift if needed and the free wifi was very powerful. The hotel is like a riad,, all rooms off a central courtyard.
