Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Mercader de Sedas is a beautiful, small hotel in an historic building in the heart of Granada with a very modern and tasteful interior. We had a very pleasant stay here.

CanadaWe had not received the mail with the pin to open the door of the hotel and the room ,and they were closed at 5 pm... and the phone number on the door could not be reached with our cells! fortunately a neighbour made the phone call for us. Breakfast was not possible in the hotel ,which is not nice if it is a rainy day...

United KingdomWe liked everything.
Fabulous place to stay. Beautiful building, stylishly decorated. Comfortable, spotless room and great shower. Very handy to have the car park which is only a little distance further up the road from the hotel to the left.

United KingdomThe shower drain smelt a little after showering, standing water etc. but otherwise the room was pristine clean. There was a fountain in the courtyard that runs till about midnight, not an issue for me as I sleep with earplugs but might be for light sleepers.
Location was great for our little trip. It's on a bus route from the train station, or you can walk it in about 30 minutes. Room was a great size, beds really comfy. There was a kettle in the room <3. The little courtyard was so sweet and in keeping with the style of houses in Granada.

United KingdomMy bedroom was on the third floor and the elevators only go to the second, therefore I had to carry my suitcase up one flight of stairs.
My bedroom was beautifully furnished and spacious, and the bathroom was clean and modern. I was on the top floor, which was quiet. The hotel is well located within the old town. I would definitely stay here again!

CroatiaI did not like that nobody on the reception does know english. Also about the parking, I paid around 47€ for about 44 hours and it was a bit drama to find a garage since when I called the hotel I could not apeak with the reception since they do not speak english.
Breakfast was good, room was clean and nice.

MaltaNoisy, very noisy. The hotel is in a sort of narrow and pedestrian street and you could hear every trolley and people passing by. If you plan to stay during the weekend and you want a pleasant night, I wouldn't recommend. We had a very uncomfortable situation with a group of drunk people shouting and with music right in front of the hotel at 3-4 in the morning, and we have a 3-years-old daughter. Rooms are not isolated at all and I think that was a very bad decision due to location. Also, I booked this room last minute with 'your child stays for free', and in the booking process you could choose an extra bed. We were called (after the booking) that the bed has an extra cost of 25 eur., and I'm sure I didn't see anywhere stated the extra cost unless hidden in the hotel's description, but this was not stated in the booking process at all. Very dissapointing.
Excellent location, the best of Granada. Full of restaurants around and in a very strategic location. Good room with some flaws like very cold floor (wood or carpet would have been great) and lighting/plugs was not the best solution in our opinion. Excellent shower and bathroom.

PolandAccess to the car park (although very well described by the hotel before the arrival) is rather difficult, not to mention access to the indicated parking spot. If you don't have a tiny car and aren't skilled in taking super precise 360 degrees turns while parking, better leave your car in one of the city car parks.
A very nice and cosy hotel in the very city centre. The room had its "Granada's charm".
