Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Access to hotel via car can be problematic. On the day we were driving to the hotel the roads were closed off. We had to circle around twice to find a way in. This isn't the hotel's fault though as driving in central historic areas in Spain is often problematic.
I had the feeling of staying at a property with a rich history. The location was right in the center, which made the stay even better.

The only thing that we can mention as negative was the bed, which was rather squeaky and "overused".
From the moment we arrived to the hotel everything was absolutely amazing. Fantastic location - hotel is located several hundred of meters from the iconic Seville Cathedral. Spacious bedroom and well equipped room. Availability of its own garage is an addition star point for this hotel. Perfectly maintained hotel and spotlessly clean spacious room. Every member of the hotel staff, but everyone one without exception, was so polite, friendly, efficient and professional, making our four day stay in hotel remarkable and an unforgettable experience. Well done Hotel Inglaterra, we will not hesitate to stay in your hotel again!

We were cozy and in bed for the night when the hotel phone rang, we managed to answer it and the night manager had a complaint that we were moving furniture in our room. Although, we too heard the same sounds it was not us. Half an hour later the night manager knocked on our door as there was still a complaint, we got up from bed and answered the door, clearly the noise of moving furniture was not coming from our room… It was amazing to think that a couple married almost 55 years would have a noise complaint from their hotel room, if you know what we mean. The noise finally stopped and we slept well.
It is such a wonderful hotel in every way

The aircon in the room was not very efficient, so the room was a bit hot
Lovely hotel in the centre of Sevilla, overlooking Plaza Nueva. Everything was within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Views from rooftop bar were lovely. Room was very clean and spacious

No issues.
A beautiful hotel and the oldest in Seville. You could not ask for a better location. Right on a square where everything is walkable. The staff were very kind. Loved the valet service with the car for parking. Just a really nice experience.

Lack of English TV channels !
Hotel was chosen at random and what an excellent choice. Hotel was immaculate and staff were both very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect as a tourist base since all major attractions are within easy walking distance.

As the hotel is supposedly dog friendly we were only allowed to take him to the room and not anywhere else in the hotel which made it difficult to enjoy the facilities together.
On arrival we were greeted by staff who were very friendly, took our luggage and parked the car, then offered a drink at reception. The rooftop terrace was relaxing after a busy time exploring the city.

Excellent location. Staff were wonderful-pleasant, helpful and kind. The rooms were clean, good amenities(bathroom had nice towels, shampoo etc if needed and proper water pressure)., the balcony, wardrobe, mirrors, bed linen were all great. Rooftop bar, the breakfast also nice. I he location and staff were indeed tops
