We had a private room for 3 people with shared bathroom. The floor where these private rooms are located is very quiet. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Shared bathroom wasn't causing any issues for as (it was always available, clean and working well). Also there is 24/7 grocery store downstairs which is very convenient. Overall good value for money.

My bed was a bit creaking so I was afraid to wake up my roommate everytime I moved.

Not the best location, far away from most things you'd want to visit! Also quite expensive for a very standard hostel, had to pay for towels and no privacy curtains on beds (which should be the standard in all hostels)

For the price there was nothing to complain. The room was not really cozy, tall ceiling with cold blue colors(which I understand are part of the hostel's visual logo-design) and the pipes on the ceiling don't add beauty neither (I guess they become very popular in all those hipster cafes, just I'm not sure if it's suitable in accommodation). However otherwise everything was functional and fine, I must say the mattress was great, I haven't slept this comfortable in long time. Although it's apparently a cheaper place for young backpackers etc, I didn't find any issue even staying there with baby, we were even offered a crib ( which we didn't need). Pair of nice simple slippers for 2€ at reception came handy, staff was nice.

Location was very well reachable by tram even in late hours, we checked in around midnight. Although not in center,but locality was quite neat and picturesque neighborhood. I think I will keep this place in mind if we ever end up needing some emergency sleep over in Helsinki.

decent kitchen. good lounge area. the 16 dorm bed had plenty of walls, which is nice b/c is doesn’t “feel” like an open 16 person dorm. compartmentalizes the beds a bit, which is nice.

Shower curtain was there just to check off the list, not to cover you. The reception area was also a common area where people could have a drink, play games, and talk. This was not at all a problem during the day, but when they were loud at night (pass 11pm), I could hear it all the way in my room which is on the same floor (this is something staff should take notice off!).

Location was very close to public transport, very easy to get around. Everything was clean. Staff was nice and available 24/7. One card to open front door, room door, and locker so it was quite convenient. During the two days that I stayed here, the room (18-bed mixed room) was only at about 1/3 capacity, and I felt like other rooms were not full either. I didn't have to wait for shower or washroom (I actually had the whole shower area for myself twice), but I can't imagine staying when it's at capacity.
