Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe bed was actually smaller than a standard double bed, so very cosy. No jug in room, but free tea in lounge. 3 km from ferry terminal 2 - get a taxi. Late 8 am breakfast on Saturday. No desk, only a credenza (bad), with power point close to top (good). wifi pretty average from room.
Lighting in room very good once you work out how to operate it. Quite close to central railway station. Helpful staff.

SwedenWe were upgraded but I still don't understand why. The washbasins' tap was not really functional, cracks in the the basin need to be fixed. A shower would fit in better that the current bathtub. The breakfast is a rip-off and we had breakfast outside. The staff should know more about the parking facilities.
Central but calm street, Nice room with space room and nice high ceiling. The curtains helped to keep the street light out during the night. Room on the street with some noise due to streetcar but if you closed the windows, it was minumum. Nice parc near the hotel and excellent bakery in the vicinity. The Italian restaurant was handy in the evening.

Hong KongNot particularly
Breakfast is good with plenty of selections to choose from. Single room was fine for one person, it has all facilities you will need for one night. Bed is comfy for one person. You can enjoy the free channel of CNN as well. Great location for tourists. The Italian restaurant next to the lobby offers very tasty food, I had a fettuccine with prawns it was very tasty and I'm happy with the meal.

United KingdomWe booked a Sky Loft. It was a lovely room but the air conditioning didn’t work and my husband was too warm. We were given an upgrade to a Sky Suite, which we understand is more expensive, but no where near as nice as the Sky Loft. The Suite had a bland atmosphere, an odd ‘space-egg’ style bed, and graffiti artwork (you can see the room on their website). It might be great for younger people but not for fifty-somethings. Importantly the Suite was no cooler. After sitting in the Suite for about an hour, and rather prickly marital relations, we asked to be moved back to the Sky Loft. The male receptionist agreed to this but was surly about it. With the small window open (a special key was needed for this) and a fan, the temperature of the Sky Loft was absolutely fine. We had dinner one night in the on-site Restaurant Toscanini. The food was rather bland and the service indifferent. Two mains and a bottle of wine came to over €90, expensive but probably not unusual for Helsinki.
The design of the room and the facilities provided in it. The breakfast was vey good. The rooftop bar is very sweet, but small and not open on Sundays. With one exception the front desk staff were charming and helpful.

United KingdomDefinitely needs a bit of TLC but it’s not off-putting. Also needs more space for the breakfast, there were long queues and not enough tables each day.
Loved the location and the decor, was very comfortable and safe too.

NorwayThe mattress and pillows could have been softer.
The room was nicely decorated. It had everything, TV, safe, full minibar, kettle, coffee and tea with accessories such as honey, sugar and milk. The bathroom was modern and had good quality shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I will visit again next time.

FranceRoom could be slightly better cleaned/ vacuumed (bathroom was well cleaned). It would be useful to have some "tray" to place dirty shoes in winter. Windows were not particularly sound proof.
Very well located, just a few minutes walk from main attractions of Helsinki. Convenient tram connection to the train station. Varied and delicious breakfast (with big choice of vegetarian options)! It is also useful that there is a restaurant downstairs of the hotel (however we didn't try it). Nice room (and all hotel) decoration.
