Score from 2344 reviews Very good
Two breakfasts, italian and scandinavian, both good, italian delicious Really good interior design Good club/ bar
Small sauna, gym
Very good location, very helpful staff, very good breakfast, rooms are designed very well , very good experience
We were offered a 15% discount when we booked, but when we came to check out they said they had already deducted it from our bill. They had not. I was made to pay the full amount. The boy on reception said that once he had spoken to his manager about it, the extra 15% would be refunded to me. I then received an email saying they were not going to do this - very frustrating and unfair. This hotel charges too much for what it is. The rooms and beds are tiny. There's a Spa, but it's very difficult to get an appointment. There is also mention or a Sauna - when we called reception they said they didn't have one.
Service, room, location
Location, nice rooms, Italian restaurant
WiFi connection was a little poor.
Extraordinary friendly and competent staff. Very stylish place in the centre of the city. Awesome room (we've had the SkyLoft) with very comfy bed and great views over Helsinki. Amazing breakfast buffet Already booked our next stay.
I'd loved to have a sauna. But this is just a personal thing.
No bulkhotel...a little bit of different which is good, if you travel a lot
Very nice place, great atmosphere, very helpfull and nice staff
Minor issue was very strong airconditioning in a single room (double rooms were fine from this perspective).
The staff were very helpful. The beds were wonderful and rooms very quiet. An excellent selection of food at breakfast and the Italian restaurant was also excellent.
Room a bit on the small size considering we paid for an upgrade.
room 628 without windows, klaustrofobic
Staff - helpful, friendly Breakfast ( reception flor) exelent Editional options ( tea, coffe, tearpot ) were given by our request free off charge
Small room Woodrow not convenient Cleaning not proper
hotel building, huge breakfast
Ambience Wireless Fruit in the reception
Staff less pleasant Restaurant also declining-staff and food poor for the cost Packed breakfast was a feeble work and 3 staff on duty
A wonderful breakfast and helpful staff!
The room was nice but it didn't have that special touch you would expect at a design hotel.
The hotel is quite central with could parking facilities nearby.
The staff is incompetent, unfriendly and do not know the concept of service. The hotel is ten years old and screams for a renovation. There is much better value for money in Helsinki and where service and comfort fits. Check out Hotel Haven! On top: We ate at the restaurant (Italian in that belongs to the hotel) and got food poisoned. The staff said they would send sample to the authorities required for testing by law and that we shouldn't worry. Two days later they said they had decided not to because only we got sick (which was a lie because another couple in the hotel also was food poisoned the same evening.
Location and part of the design.
Staff perfomance was quite uneven. Rooms are very small and while optical well designed less practical to use.
Breakfast - one of the greatest I`ve ever had in a hotel. Comfortable bed. Helpful and very friendly staff. Location - coudn`t be better. On weekend parking on the nearest streets is free. In general, staying in this hotel is absolute joy.
Excellent room, spacious and super modern. The corner room provided the best view towards the entire length of Bulevard and also to the quare of Swedish Theatre and Stockmann.
The hotel is warm and welcoming and rightly deserves its place in the Design Hotels group. The rooms are all a good size. Breakfast in the Living Room is especially good. I thoroughly recommend booking the hotel's transfer from the airport: simplified everything after a long flight and the driver was courteous and efficient. The hotel has a surprisingly well-equipped gym. The location close by to Stockmann's department store is a definite plus.
relatively small room
Nice and clean hotel on a lovely location with very helpful staff.
the room was actually quite small
Friendly welcome at reception, good service at breakfast and for coffee in the lounge. Cozy atmosphere in the small restaurant and many small delicious items at breakfast. Overall a very warm welcoming air of tranquility in the the hotel, even with a night club below ground. The rooms are comfortable for a couple of days.
Nothing major, just this: I asked for a room to the front, however this was not honored. Whilst the overall design of the hotel is great, the corridors have the charm of a hospital. A bottle of average quality wine in the room for eur 35 is a bit over the top and parking is expensive too. If you stay more than a weekend, the small rooms are not convenient especially in terms of storage space.
Loved the location. We were within walking distance of all the sights that we wanted to see. We went in December (12-14) and were a 2 minute walk from the Christmas markets at the Helsinki Cathedral. It was nice because it's a little cold out so was great to be close to all the shops and the design destrict and the food market, nightlife and all that Helsinki has to offer. The hotel has two great restaurants. Breakfast was included and we had Scandinavian breakfast both mornings (highly recommended). We ate at the Italian restaurant for dinner. Excellent food. We also went to the bar/club in the hotel which was cool and good fun for a drink or two.
Bed was a little small, and so is the room, but didn't bother us too much.
Excellent hotel ruined by charging for Americano coffee during a breakfast that was already included in the price. At checkout the charge was cancelled. But my issue is not about 5 euros. Since when was Americano coffee a "speciality coffee"? If i ordered fried eggs would I be charged for this?
I came here for 20th time and wifi was always free and fast. This time was said that I was lucky and due to the fact I was a regular customer, I could have the fast wifi (?!?). I believe wifi should always be free and fast.
