Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There isn't anything negative I can say about the hotel.
The location of The Hotel Alba is ideal for the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. A ten minute walk along the river Gave to the Sanctuary. The room was very roomy and comfortable with wi fi, television , good lighting system, a door opening onto a little balcony, excellent shower room and separate toilet. It had a lovely view overlooking the river Gave. It was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The breakfast was comprehensive, American cooked breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs etc and a continental breakfast. There was plenty of delicious fresh bread, croissants, Danish pastries, cereals, dried fruits (eg dates, apricots, figs and a bowl of prunes) yoghurts, freshfruit, fruit salad, ham, cheeses, fresh tomatoes and salad, All food is excellent in the hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful, going over and beyond to accommodate our requests. They were hard working, efficient, professional, extremely good-natured and friendly, I would highly recommend The Hotel Alba.

The charging sockets were not working, when we told the reception they said we should ask them as there is a ? button to switch this on….but we couldn’t find it so we had to use our power banks 🙁- never experienced this in a hotel before. Breakfast was not too good for the price of €18.
Location is walking distance to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes with quiet surroundings. Although you have to pay for the parking, it is safe and secured at the back of the hotel. Our family room is very nice and my two girls loved their room upstairs. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel within walking distance of the centre of Lourdes. Secure parking for our motorbikes too. Would recommend staying at this hotel if you are motorcycle touring in the Pyrenees.

Nothing to report. A good efficiently run Hotel catering for the local demands of the town.
Friendly, accommodating and efficient Hotel Staff. We came across this Hotel by accident as the one that we had booked for the night appeared closed and derelict (might be wrong). This is a functional hotel with a set course dinner menu but given the large number of guests being accommodated was a smooth seamless operation and the food was good too.

No chance of early check in, emailed months previously to inquire. Had to leave extremely early on check out day, so would have liked a bit of compromise of check in.
The hotel was tastfully decorated, clean,spacious bedrooms, well equipped bathroom , friendly and efficient staff, tasty breakfast, huge choice and overall good value for money.. We were highly impressed with the Alba hotel and would definitely stay here again

Bit of a mix up about cleaning on our last day of 3. Had to ask for towels, received no gels.
Nice modern bedroom. Comfortable bed. Easy parking at back of hotel. Big bar with very nice bar maid. The food in restaurant was very good (we had a la carte), pleasant staff serving. Nice outdoor terrace. Always stay here now.
