parking is difficult generally in St Malo (at least in August), even this far out of the centre, especially if you drive anything over 1.9m

Unable to experience the breakfast due to early ferry / check-out

Old fashioned beachside hotel, although not directly on the beach - we had side view of the sea from our 2nd floor forward facing balcony. Great location for a night before catching the ferry to Jersey. We were able to park for free on the street directly in front of the hotel and walk the 3km along the promenade into the old town. A late afternoon drink overlooking the beach at the small friendly kiosk opposite and a visit to the Tapas Bar Le Bercail around the corner rounded off our stay.

Bathroom door doesn't really work, Wifi is not working when your room is far from the ground floor, so if wifi is a priority for you, maybe ask for a room closer to the ground floor- receptionist

Picture of the room not actually the room we were given. Decor is slightly dated, towel rail was broken (reported on first day but no offer to fix this during our stay). Advertised as family room for up to 4 people. In reality this was just an average size room crammed with double bed / bunk bed / desk with 2 chairs and En suite, leaving not much space for the 2 of us to move around! No facility for tea/coffee in the room, morning refreshments require a trip down to the breakfast room.. or to local Boulangerie which is great and very reasonable, lovely selection and all freshly made!

Wonderful location! Straight onto the beach. Free parking right outside. Local shops within 2 minutes walk. 30 minute walk away from the old walled town, Intra Muros. accommodating staff who are happy to help with small requests...

The breakfast could be improved a bit. Fair do, it's a French breakfast, but I like some savoury like a slice of cheese or ham. But the utter charme with which the breakfast was served compensates a lot. And a schmecko for the dog.

Some attention to detail missing. Broken shelf that could easily be relaxed in bathroom. Broken shower seal. Reception staff wasn’t that helpful when I asked about vegetarian food at breakfast…he said no. I didn’t see a menu, so just said not to worry but in morning saw it was veggie friendly but had to walk to twin with kids as had to pre order. My mistake for not pushing the question but tired after travelling

The room itself left a lot to be desired. Mould on the roof in the shower. Smelt a bit musty. No aircon in the summer heat was very difficult, especially with the noise and lights outside from the street to try getting some air.

Cannot beat the location, it is 100%. Was in awe watching the tides go in and out from the balcony.

Simple hotel with great location, friendly host, great breakfast and convenient on bikes for trains and ferry port. not too close to old town (a plus).

Airconditioning in the room. Gets hot in summer without A/C.

Hotel was next to the beach which was very convenient. Also to some shops and eating places. Transport into the City was good too.
