When I first got into my room it felt small and a little basic however with the view and the comfort of the bed this more than made up for it.

My room was small however it was on 7th floor and looked over the roof tops of Paris to the Eiffel Tower. Perfect! The bed was incredibly comfy and so were the pillows which meant I had a great nights sleep which I don’t always get in hotels. It was also really quiet and as Paris is a noisy vibrant city this was a bonus. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was great too. I was travelling on my own and felt very safe staying here the staff were very accommodating. Great location also so the Marais shopping district is a few mins away.

I realized halfway that the tea kettle was not very clean. The heat kind of malfunctioned, and the USB ports didn’t work in the room to charge things.

I had a wonderful view. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice. I appreciated having a tea kettle.

Stayed here twice during the Rugby World Cup; the location is good for bars and restaurants, the room was good size for short stays and was clean; the staff were very helpful; breakfast was a simple but sufficient continental service.

Nothing to not like!

Lovely small hotel in an excellent central area of Paris. Our attic room had a lovely view over Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. We only had a one night pre flight stay but could happily enjoy a few days here. On a scale of Paris prices, this hotel was a bargain. Pleasant staff and very clean and comfortable room.

We loved everything.

Hotel Americain is situated close to Metro and within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping and Notre Dame. The rooms are perfect with a modern bathroom, aircon, shower, good hairdryer, clean towels daily, coffee and tea. I will highly recommend Hotel Americain. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Really nice hotel for the price. I liked the locaton. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was very clean. I was really happy to get a room on the top floor there was a beautiful view and could see the Eiffel tower which looked so beautiful at night. Enjoyed breakfast too. Would stay again!

Great location near Republique. Easy access to the Metro and many tourist attractions. We stayed over three weekends for RWC2023 in the Triple Room (great rooftop view toward Eiffel Tower), which was ideal for me and two teenagers. Friendly staff. 24/7 reception.

Building is a bit old and cleanliness is not 100% on point in the difficult spaces: behind the bed, under the bed, etc. However, overall it was a good stay

Beautiful $10 Euro buffet for breakfast, it feels like a family business, staff really kind. Also, close to different Metro and bus stations. Cleaning of the room performed every day.

I thing everything was perfect, clean place, cosy , quiet place to sleep even if the location in the middle of nightlife, the staff was perfect,. Shops, market, cafes, bakery and a lot of restaurants here, le maries so close too .

The doors to the rooms were heavy so every time one shut on our floor, it was really loud. The bathroom was very small.

There was no air-con and no ventilation. Room was so hot for the summer time. No lift for our room.

There was no airconditioning when I was there. The hotel was in the process of installing aircons in the room(s), but lucky it wasn't summer yet when I stayed there.

The location was good, close to shops, restaurants and public transports. I actually preferred walking to Notre Dame, LVHB, etc which is just 30 mins and you get to discover other places of interest along the way. The room was a bit small and the shower had a long shower curtain which was not very easy during shower but I managed somehow during my 5 nights stay. The air condition was not yet in operation when I stayed, lucky it wasn't that hot yet during the night. The room has a nice terrace window, typical of Paris, which I could left open at night but it was noisy sometimes. There is a very nice boulangerie just in the corner and it's perfect for breakfast. Don't forget to try the Bouillion Republique which is just a few steps from the hotel. It is one of the most authentic French restaurant you could experience and the food is so cheap. There is a long queue everyday so it's worth to book. Also, the hotel is just 2 or 3 blocks away from Canal St Martin, a lovely discovery during my many walks around the area near the hotel.
