Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Belgiumthe room wi-fi was weak - maybe it was due to my room being at the end of the corridor, I also did not need it too much, but it would be nice to have it working more stable, I kept getting disconnect. I would change the system of daily stocked small soap and shower gel to more sustainable, bigger bottle to be filled in when needed. As for the breakfast, it would be nice to have some vegan options, including milk other than cow's for coffee.
the location is great, also the design of the hotel and how the room looks is really amazing, it was a pleasure. The room was bigger than I expected, very nicely designed, bed very comfortable, it was just what I needed. Big plus for the small, but handy elevator. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

EgyptNothing really.
I was amazed at how a tiny room (90cm wide) could quite comfortably fit a very good bed, table, and toilet/shower — with a beautiful view of a courtyard with trees!

DenmarkPerfect location, nice neighbourhood and walking distance to old town. Very small room, but all you need. Quiet. If you are tall the bed is a bit short, but worked for me. All is as described. Very friendly staff. Good value for money.

BelgiumThe street can get a bit noisy on the weekends, so you hear that from your room (if you're on that side of the building).
Good breakfast, clean room with only the essentials.

United KingdomBathroom was really small
Location was great 3 min walk to metro station (Foch) and up to 15 min walk to old Lyon. Very helpful staff, breakfast was very good, a bit small selection but delicious and high standard of food quality. It's a really good restaurant in hotel too. Generally it's great budget hotel with good location and positive vibe

United KingdomWe hit our heads a few times on the low ceiling in the loft room, but as we were warned about this at time of booking it didn't bother us too much.
Excellent location.

ChinaWi-Fi on the 4th floor is unusable. They really need to add a router there.
It's a cute small hotel. The location is great—a 2-minute walk from the metro station and right next to a casino supermarket.

New ZealandWe knew we booked loft rooms, so expected them to be small, but the bathrooms were ridiculously small. Rooms very warm, no aircon other than small desk fan. I wouldn't want to sleep there in the Summer.
The location is handy and central, opposite a small park with some beautiful big trees. Close to metro. The restaurant was always lively, although we never had the opportunity to dine there.

FranceIt's true that the street may get a bit noisy if you sleep with the window open, and it is also true that you can clearly hear people in the hallway or your next-door neighbors. However this didn't really bother me on my stay as luckily my neighbors were quiet guests. Did not try the breakfast but it seemed a bit overpriced for a two-star hotel on the same street as excellent bakeries and cafés.
The main thing going for this hotel is definitely its location: it's in one of the best neighborhoods of Lyon, close to the Opera and the main train station of the city. For a two star hotel it perfectly meets expectations. It's not really luxurious and I could see why the lack of AC would bother some folks especially during the summer, but the ceiling fan is more than enough in my opinion. Overall, good experience!

SwitzerlandI wish there would have been a little bottle of water in the room for the night or a kettle to make a tea in the room. Besides that, we didn’t know if there was a common room with a common toilet to use after the check-out.
The area was super quiet and nice and calm, the staff were very kind and the restaurant looked super nice even we didn’t eat there. The breakfast other guests were having seemed very delicious. We found a great comfort in the small but comfortable room we had. There wasn’t any noise at night and the mattress was very comfortable. We also appreciated the ceiling fan. Thanks Hôtel Taggât

United States of AmericaThere was no air conditioning. It would probably be okay under normal circumstances, but there was a heatwave in Lyon at the time of our visit. Also, the halogen lights contributed to the heat in the room.
The room was quaint, convenient and reasonably priced.
