Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceAll the rooms only have twin beds which is very common in this part of France. We solved this by pushing the beds together and using one of the duvets to fill in the gap; we always bring our own top sheet. There is no air conditioning but we had brought our own fan and it was chilly on the night we were there. The mosquito net on our balcony doors needed to be repaired but it was not a problem for us.
We loved the setting, the traditional decor and our room with a lovely balcony and a view of Mont Blanc. We had a delicious lunch with friends in the restaurant. The pool looked lovely but the weather was rainy and chilly on the day we visited. All the staff were very nice,

SwitzerlandA very nice, comfortable place to spend some time in the countryside, close to Geneva. The view is splendid and the nights are so quiet that nothing disturbs your sleep, even if you keep the room-windows open. In warm summer evenings, the Auberge serves meals under the pergola. The staff is helpful and friendly.

GermanyWe stayed there only one night, and orginally we were asigned a very bad room(without proper window/window was on the roof, room not shown on booking pictures) which should be a last resort on my opinion and not asigned to guests who book well in advance. After insisting for changing the room, we got offered another one which was much better... Since it is an old structure it can be noisy as you hear everything in and out... It was too hot during the night and we discovered only next morning, that there was a fan in the shelf (no one told us upfront).
The location and the villa itself was very nice. The dinner was very tasty and properly served. Overall good except for the issues mentioned in the other section.

United Kingdomit was all good.
Forty minutes from the centre of Geneva, auberge des chasseurs sits sedately on the edge of the Réserve Naturelle Nationale de la Haute Chaîne du Jura offering guests a stunning and undisturbed view of Mont-Blanc. It feels less of a hotel and more like a large family home, rich in character and culture. You might feel it’s roomy terrace and sparkling pool are your own, although the restaurant provides a dining experience and a wine cellar (a real one ) that you may find hard to replicate in your own kitchen. The inn, an farmhouse built in 1860 and tastefully restored in 1950, has been in the same family for three generations. The somewhat quirky interior was created - curated even - by a Swedish artist when it was remodelled. It’s an eclectic mix, with signed photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson and Josef Koudelka and dozens of original paintings and sculptures scattered around the walls of the three-storey building. The 15 rooms - all non-smoking and most air conditioned - feel a bit like home, too with rustic pine furniture and wifi. Dogs are welcomed. If you want a mini bar, a 50-inch smart TV, or a wet room, this may not the place for you. Instead, imagine you are staying with friends and relax on the comfortable beds. Savour the silence, broken only by the occasional whinny of a horse or the cry of a disgruntled goose from the farm next door. Then prepare for an excellent traditional French meal on the terrace as the sun sets. In cooler moments there is the exceptionally cozy dining room. Just prepare yourself for the challenge of choosing a bottle of wine from that extensive cellar! The hunter’s inn makes a perfect base to explore the area and ideal to explore the delights of Geneva, just a short drive away.

ThailandBreakfast was extremely tasty and beautifully presented. That was a very big choice of Continental food – cold meats, different cheeses, yogurts, juices, cereals. And the breakfast room was beautiful and sunny with a view over the mountains! The host was very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Very peaceful and quiet.
