Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

What really must be said is that the property is advertising with „breakfast included“ on booking. So when leaving we were really surprised that we had to pay all the three breakfasts we ate - while thinking we already payed for them - because for that (pretty expensive price) maybe we would have enjoyed „cuter“ breakfast spots in Paris or could have no breakfast at all to save money. Also the walls are pretty thin and one night we had the „pleasure“ to listen to our neighbours making love. But the windows are pretty sound proof so we could not hear the street when they were closed. For us in our early twenties, it was all in all a good experience and we could think about coming back!
The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very nice and kind. The location is perfect as well you can reach any big sight of Paris within 20-30min max. which we enjoyed reaching by the metro or a walk through the cute streets. The hotel was exactly what we expected for the price range.

Rooms are tiny even though I didnt book the smallest one, hotel is located on a very trafficked street so it was noisy, staff was not very attentive. They didnt clean our room on one day and when asked for cleaning, they were arrogant and uninterested to help us. Fire alarm also went off early saturday morning due to a burnt toast.
Location in general is pretty good, close to Eiffel tower, gardens and museums. Beds were pretty good.

we where very surprised with how modern the hotel was! The bed was really comfy and there is enough room in the bedroom to walk around and not feel squashed . The staff where really friendly and would answer all our queries. The only bad thing i would say is the location as we had to walk a distant to get to all the tourist places so most the time we got taxis as the metro is always really busy.

lift was very very small ( probable in Paris are all like that ) but since l was at the first floor had no problem using the stairs. it would be nicer if there was a small fridge.
location and room very good while breakfast ate only once and was quite satisfied. Staff really was helpful and very nice. On the whole worth the money l paid.

Fan didn't work in the room, but I think that is in every hotel in Europe in winter months. The window could open so wasn't an issue. Tv language only in French.
Ideal location: 5min walk to metro line, takeaways and restaurants nearby as well as a bakery across the street. Breakfast buffet is really divine with freshly baked bread etc. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff were also very friendly.

The only issue was how hot it was at night. The air con didn’t seem to work, but we just slept with the window open which we didn’t mind.
A very comfortable and clean room. Lovely staff. Would recommend:)

I have stayed for two nights and second night the bed sheets was the same from first day they haven't changed them.
The staff was very helpful and polite, it was good location metro was close to hotel and only 15 min walk to eiffel tower
