Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaStaying at Chateau Richelieu was an amazing experience. Breakfast was great and abundant. The room was large and opened onto the pool while we had a second door that opened onto a gravel terrace with the view of the Chateau's vineyard. But the best part was the staff and owner. They were warm, welcoming, super eager to help us with recommendations and reservations. They know other chateaux owners and helped arrange several tastings. I would love to stay there again.

Canadathe Chateau was a charming place where the staff was exceptionally friendly and always helpful to provide services and suggestions. The rooms are super clean and have everything you need. The breakfast was also excellent for us, they were happy to provide plenty of food. They also provided us with a private tour of their wine making process and facilities which was exceptional followed by a great wine tasting of their amazing Pomeral wines.

GermanyUnfortunatly there was no chance of a vineyard due to some important business meeting of the Chàteau Management. As the place is hard to reach by public transport, a shuttle service from and to the nearby train station would be amazing.
Amazing place to stay in the region of Fronsac. We had a great time at this organic vineyard with super helpful hosts and the pool is on if our highlights. Would love to come back here. A deliciouse breakfast was a cherry on top for us.

FranceIt was perfect, nothing to complain about.
Perfect place in the middle of Fronsac vineyards at the gate of Libournes. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and the castle, its garden and the pool are fantastic. The staff, Laëtitia and Sophie, we’re really kind and lovely.

New ZealandThe Chateau is marvellous. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.
We are very glad we chose to stay in this beautiful Chateau. The room was huge with a view across the vineyards, the pool was great in the heat and breakfasts delicious. The staff went out of their way to help us transcend the language barrier and our tour of the vineyard gave us a real insight into the work that goes into making their superb wine. We would love to be able to visit again some day.

The accommodation, the breakfast, the staff were all superb. We enjoyed a tour of the winemaking facility and the wonderful swimming pool was great after a hot day out and about. Lovely to picnic in the gardens in the evening after a good lunch in St Emilion.

DenmarkWe arrived when it had almost turned dark - and it was a very big dark house, with some very big dark livingrooms, we had to find our way in. (Light sensors could have helped us a lot). The outside pictures of the castle and the indside yard, are much nicer then the real thing.
The town was very quiert and away from the main road. The staff was very friendly. The tour ind the fields and in the production was far more than we had expected. We were there 5 days after they had picked the last grapes. The room and the bathroom was as expected. The view from the room over the fields was great. A big breakfast was served in the livingroom.

CanadaMy friend and I shared a twin room (the Richelieu) which was lovely. Its large windows overlooked a beautiful vista of row upon row of vineyards. It was a spectacular view from which to watch the sunsets. Beds (twin) were very comfortable and the breakfasts were memorable with fresh croissants and baguettes served with bowls full of fresh fruit and yogurt plus granola and a cheese plate. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and gracious—always very accommodating no matter our needs—an early breakfast or a private guided tour of the wine making process. Although at the height of their harvest season, our host graciously explained and showed us each part of the process. This visit will remain in our memories forever for its stunning beauty and for the wonderfully friendly and gracious hosts and staff.

We had a lovely stay. It was quiet with a delightful rustic charm. The staff were extremely friendly and we were treated to private access to see how the Chateau’s own wine was made! Beautiful setting with a nice pool and surrounded by charming towns in the heart of wine country!

United States of AmericaThe staff was wonderful and our room was lovely. A nice breeze with the oversized windows and the pool had nice sunshine. Breakfast was all set up for us at a table of our request. We were also able to have a guest refrigerator in the kitchen for things we wanted to keep cold. A bonus was there were Chateau Richelieau wines for us to drink at an extremely reasonable able price! Thank you staff❣
